Our one-night stay at the Hotel Residence in May 2008 was adequate. The double room shared by our group of three was on the small side, without much floor space once the sofa bed was pulled out. The room, beddings, and bathroom were clean; fabrics and linens a bit worn but fine overall. The two standard beds were comfortable, although the sofa bed was apparently not wonderful (few are, though). The bathroom was large and well-equipped (hair dryer, radiant heater that would be nice in the winter) with a giant tub that had to be climbed into it (definitely not suitable for anyone with physical challenges). The bathroom floor covering didn't seem entirely clean (odd for a Swiss hotel). We didn't love the room for the price - about 170 Francs for the group - but it was comfortable enough and adequate for our short stay. We did enjoy the location, over a small restaurant/bar, and next to a Coop. The train station, tourist office, and the small shopping/restaurant district are all close... more
