Me and the Mrs have stayed at the Amaika twice before, both times for a long weekend. We're there again next month for a 7night A/Inc. deal. We love it....Better food than either the Calella Palace or the Olympic. Sometimes the Amaika closes down for a few months over the winter and you may get moved to either the Palace/Olympic. DON'T go... More

Stayed in Amaika for 3rd time in last 3 years and have to say the hotel is going downhill. The food is ok nothing more, the staff are a mixed bunch between very helpful and cheery to down right surly. It is in a lovely resort and should make more of itself.hotel is best suited for couples or groups of friends... More

We were forced to move here from our original hotel (Royal Sun). It didn't compare favourably. It's layout is designed on the Titanic (slightly odd, but quite pretty). The dining room is lovely, but was pretty crowded, the chairs and tables are very hugger-mugger and you're constantly crashing into other diners (not all of whom have manners their mothers would... Reception:- check in was quick and efficent,,Do not bother to request any particular floor as they don't take a bit of notice of requests. We requested a low floor and was given the 7th floor,,we also meet others who had also asked... More

I booked this hotel for myself and the missus for a 3 night break after reading reviews on tripadvisor and all in all we were very happy with the stay. On arrival we did have to wait awhile to be allocated our room and wait around which took longer than expected..Decor was well done - made to look like the... More

Stayed in the Amaika from the 8th October - 15th October with my family. The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean. The rooms are kept nice with fresh towels daily. You get towels at the reception for the pool for a deposit of 5 euros daily which you get back at the end of your stay. the hotel does not... More

We booked this when looking for a hotel to stay in whist attending the Geocaching Mega Event in the town, we booked the flights with Jet2, and the hotel seperately. On stepping off the plane we headed to the train station and got the train to Calella (7.70 for two singles), changed in Barcelona and then to the resort, the... More
