Rooms fair sized, but basic. Very clean with parking outside. Wifi in the room. We had a little balcony at the front (2nd floor), which was nice, but no view. Has a beer machine :) Oh, and it's about 5-10 mins walk from the centre, steep uphill More

Usually staying in a budget hotel means cramped claustrophobic rooms. In S'Aguarda we were pleasantly surprised by the large balcony doors that let in a lot of light and made the room seem a whole lot larger than it really was. There's a cool 1970s vibe to the hotel (it used to be a guesthouse for Catalan musicians) and the... More

The staff on reception seemed pretty grumpy and found it hard to smile or reply without an annoyed expression. The reception area is pretty shabby but the room was ok. It is away from the crowds but quite a walk uphill. Don't choose it if you are unfit or have a disability. More

we arrived late but had a very friendly welcome. A combination of Frenc, Spanish and English was spoken with the night porter to try to find a takeawy food place still open. The room was plain and comfortable with a modern bathroom with bath and shower. The location up the hill above the town made it it easy to drive... More

Definately in need of major updating, it has some positives: nice balcony/terrace and decent breakfast included. Otherwise it has an very dated 70's/80's look and doesn't feel welcoming, the beds are uncomfortable. We liked the location although it's a bit of a hike coming back at night. Cadaques is a real gem though so don't miss it. More

Very good accomodation, with a small balcony and some good views. The bathroom was quite small, but ok. The breakfast was very nice and this room had great views. Small, really small pool, luckily with few or no people. Not long walking distance to center and beach, more tiring on the return because you had to climb. More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days in August 2009. We picked this hotel based on other reviews which did for worn us that it was not a 3 star hotel but non the less it was a decent hotel and the location was great. The location was great!! But the rooms reminded us of a... More

S' Aguarda (which will variably be spelled "Sa Guarda" on road signs in Cadaques) is a great hotel. It is a 4 minute walk downhill to the center of town (Cadaques). Of course this means it is uphill on the way back. The staff was very helpful, they helped us with ice, directions, parking, you name it. They do not... More
