I can only echo the previous review. We stayed at Hostal Colonial for 4 nights when visiting Colonia for the Triathlon. We usually stay in larger hotels but chose the Hostal on the strength of the reviews and its situation in town only minutes from the beach. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room complete with balcony and... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in April with my partner; we picked the Hostal based on other reviews and we were not disappointed! The room was very clean with TV, small fridge and a small balcony with chairs. The owner and all the people working in the gelateria/bar/restaurant were very friendly. Definitely the best thing about the Hostal was... More

We booked this hostal after reading other reviews and spent a week here in October 2011. As mentioned in other reviews the great things about the hostal are the food (we were half board and the breakfast and evening meals were brilliant value and we didn't leave a thing), the cleanliness of the hostal and the friendliness of Juan, his... Fantastic position near to es trenc - the town is quiet and friendly - if you want an independent holiday away from all the tourist packages and the masses of drunken tourists then this is the place for you. Juan and his family are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are great = lots of choice. Rooms are basic but clean,... More

This great hostal is about 45 minutes walk to Es Trenc one of the most amazing (naturist) beaches I have ever seen (and I have been to a few of them). It's sounds quite far but for us it wasn't too bad. But there are many other non naturist beaches much closer to the hostal. The hostal has 15 ensuite... More

If your vacation requires a high-rise hotel complete with a mausoleum lobby, swimming pool with never-ending rows of sun chairs, room TV, mini-bars, and Karaoke evenings, this is not the place for you. If you are satisfied to live within walking distance of long white beaches and clear aquamarine seas and would like to experience all the sights, sounds, tastes... More

We chose to book this break as independent travelers in order to avoid the mainstream holiday resorts and sample the true flavour of this lovely island. We were delighted to have chosen this accommodation as it is family run with the help of local employees who were without exception polite, professional, friendly and helpful in every respect. We booked two... More
