I wrote the first English review of Agrituristica Savoca back in 2010 and gave it an excellent report, so when I was passing nearby with a friend I decided to come back, why not? Many things were the same as the last time, the nice setting and excellent dinner (better than I remember), so generous we just couldn’t manage to... More

Stayed here in April, lovely location great for seeing mosaics at Piazza Armeria. Very peaceful and quiet. People were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were large rustic and simple but clean and pleasant. The evening meal was good with plenty of own produce. The owners gave us bottles of their own wine and the peacocks were a delight!

The setting and buildings and external appearance of the rooms was lovely as was the helpfulness of the Savoca family. We opted to upgrade to the halfboard option at €20 each which was good value as the food and wine were very good. However, the rooms themselves ( we stayed in no. 5) were horrific. Grubby, old shower, lumpy bed... More

Our first sight of the Agriturismo was of the large farm buildings and machinery which didn't look too hopeful. We looked round for someone and found one of the Savoca sons, Marco. What a wonderful, cheerful and helpful person he is - and he spoke some english. He made our stay really enjoyable. The purpose-built rooms were fine, roomy with... More

The location is nice with a lot of potential which still needs to be developed. Food is good, and the surroundings are quite beautiful. Some nice horses also kept on the agriturismo but could be taken care of better. Riding experience, at least during our stay which was in April 2011 was limited. I would recommend place for a family... More

Charming characterful rooms on a working farm in a lovely woodland setting, conveniently close to Villa Romana del Casale and its UNESCO-recognised mosaics. The hospitality buildings have all been modernised/newly built. Supper is served in what must be a hall rented for weddings, and breakfast in a conservatory off the pool. Supper was pleasant if not memorable (I would not... More

We arrived in the late afternoon after a trip to the mosaics at Piazza Armerina, thankfully the farm was easy to find and we were promptly greeted and shown to our room in a beautifully restored stone cottage. Everything in the room was clean and in good order, simple and pleasant. We were able to sit outside our door and... More
