Our family stayed here recently . Like a lot of accommodation on this part of the island it's down very narrow lanes off the main road, so be aware, and definitely don't hire a big car to get around. They hire both mopeds and small cars at the villa which is great anyway. They also drop you to the main road whenever you need to go there to get the bus etc. Also do port transfers. We stayed in an apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. Great swimming pool on site though if you have small children get some floats as the pool is deep. Surroundings are picturesque. A problem we found was lack of communication!. As in most accommodation you get information on how everything works , here it's a bit vague. Your apartment is not serviced unlike main building, no info where rubbish goes, no cleaning products etc and we were here for a week. Also as with other reviews I agree the food is great but ask in advance what you are paying for. At end of meal on first evening every table was asked if they would like a limoncello as if it was free. Then we were charged for it. Biggest gripe was our family and another were looking for lunch one day. 4 adults and 3 children. The waiter said he could do a platter of tomato and buffalo mozzarella , and platter of tuna salad for the adults, and a platter of fries for the children. The 2 adults platters weren't much bigger than the one for 2 adults we got the day before yet they charged us €32 for each adults platters. €64 for our salad. It really was a rip off but it's our fault for not asking price in advance. No proper bills are handed out and they prefer cash . Food prices are definitely vague here. Just be aware when eating lunch and dinner here!

A truly Majestic and Beautiful place, with a luxurious thermal pool, orange trees, views of the sea. Bar area, Horses nearby, Delicious Breakfast and Pasta dish in the evenings. Even in low season the sun is shining. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Tara. The property is stunning. The Villa is in the middle of the beautiful garden. They have cute little horses, chickens and a dog. The pool is also amazing! It's perfect for relaxing and tanning all day, but we especially enjoyed our night swims in the warm pool. You can use the pool any time and we had the pool just for ourselves almost every time we went there. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, even though the owners speak very little English. Breakfast was ok, maybe a little bit more fresh fruits and savory toppings for toasts would be great. At the check-in we didn't get a lot of information about the breakfast, the pool etc, but we figured everything out. I have read those things from the other reviews and the booking website before our arrival. The location of the property is perfect, just between Sant Angelo and Panza. You can walk to both. There is many good restaurants and a market in Panza. Ask directions from the owners. The bus works also great, just take bus number 1 or CS from Ischia Porto to arrive to the Villa Tara. Someone from the Villa will then pick you up from the bus stop if you call them. If we ever come back to Ischia, we will stay at Villa Tara again. Thank you!

We were almost the only non-Italian tourists. It's very secluded and a real Italian hide-away from mass tourism, down a quiet road. The breakfast was amazing with home-baked produce and varied every day. Staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond. The pictures do not do the beautiful setting justice. It's great value for money. We would not want to stay anywhere else on Ischia. Our 3 year old son was adored by the staff. He loved the swimming pool, which had steps covered in some soft material for him to stand and splash on by one side. Further hits were the horses (we fed them carrots), the table football and loads of room to run around and play. Daddy loved the gym.

Villa Tara is not the obvious pick in Ischia for sure but offers a peaceful environment at the end of a steep lane true orange orchards. The family who runs the place is very warmhearted and hospitable without being in any way intrusive. The big lobby has several seating areas and offers beautiful views on the orange garden. Wifi is excellent and stable. Breakfast with fresh orange Juice from the garden is included but they offer also dinner if you order it in the morning. And finally the outside-thermal pool is something you will remember.

The owners picked us up from the bus stop as friendly as can be. The property is absolutely gorgeous and has a fantastic heated pool. The rooms were spacious for 4 adults sharing and very charming. the host made a home cooked Italian meal for us. The property has a very cute dog that made it feel like home.

What a fabulous place to stay! We were welcomed and made to feel right at home by Mariella and her lovely staff. Beautifully decorated rooms, each personalised with objects from around the world. Highly recommended! Michaela is an excellent chef and we were blown away by her food, we were able to request what we wanted and our wish was her command. It's a perfect place to explore the island and the hotel's shuttle bus is always available to take guests up to the main road if they leave their car on the main road. Nothing is too much to ask at Villa Tara!

We struck gold with Vila Tara. Not only are the grounds and Vila beautiful, we were given a very personal welcome that gave us wonderful memories. It's very close to some free thermal ocean baths and hot sands, and the breakfast was superb. We will return for sure.

We spent three beautiful days at Villa Tara, where we were welcomed by the lovely owner with fresh squeezed orange juice from the trees in the garden. The rooms were private and clean, fast wifi and fresh bread with organic home made marmelade greeted us each morning. It felt more like staying with family, the warm Ischian hospitality our hosts will remain with us! Thank you very much!
