You have certain expectations even with a cheaper hotel. Functioning plumbing is one of those. Having crap backing up every day in a hotel is not only disgusting but a health hazard. The service staff are rude and disgusting. I locked my key in my room one day, something that should have been no problem. The staff was angry with me and told me they would charge me for a "curtesy unlock", which in my opinion if you pay for it is not a curtesy at all and any other hotel would have done for free. Pests run rampant here. Being a smoker I respect buildings and normally smoke outside, but the management forbade me to smoke outside, telling me instead I should smoke in my room only because smoking outside might lead to drinking and other criminal activities.... implying what exactly? How nice to treat guests are criminals. I could barely stand 3 nights there... and the *** charged me for a week, approx. $280 even though the sign outside advertises $189 a week. I suppose...
