My wife and I stayed at Casa san Francisco just a night as we were leaving Nicaragua. Would definitely stay there again. A boutique type hotel, very beautiful (relatively inexpensive), with staff that was quite friendly and helpful. A nice location because it's two or three blocks from busiest part of Granada. I have been to Casa San Francisco three times now for a total of 30 nights with a school group of 10 students. If you want a luxury hotel this is not the spot for you. If, however, you can go with the flow--and if you don't get hot water once in awhile it isn't the end of the world... more

What's really special about Casa San Francisco is the beautiful little tropical garden courtyard that just transports you when you walk in. I wish I'd had more time to spend there. No matter what we needed to find out, the staff would make calls, negotiate with other tourist services, check prices, and arrange activities. And they seemed to enjoy it!... more
