I stayed at the Kirkely for a 2-day conference. If I stay there again, it will only be because another conference takes me there. One of the most frustrating things about my stay was the lack of wireless internet connectivity on the 5th floor. I had to go to the lobby to connect to the wireless. In the lobby the... more

This hotel was wonderful! I wish we could have stayed more than one night and if we ever go back to Lynchburg we will stay there again. We took our miniature schnauzers with us and they were welcome in the hotel. Of course they are very well behaved pups-- The bed was comfortable, the room clean and nice, and I... more

The Kirkley Hotel is one of the better ones in Lynchburg. The breakfast buffet is unreal! They have nice linens, plush towels, and flat screen t.v's. The hotel is very pretty and offers a lot to do and is in a good location. My start was rough. I specifically requested not to be put in the basement. They did put... more

I arrived on October 26,2009 for a two day conference. The lobby was impressive with the crystal chandeliers and shiney tiled floors. The hotel was kept very dark like a tavern. Its an old hotel which needs alot more work cosmetically. My school system paid 79.00 a night plus tax. Unfortuantely, I had a flat tire and could not make... more

The negatives of this hotel were cosmetic. My room had peeling wallpaper and a dirty looking ceiling and there were some missing tiles around the pool area. The hotel just needs some general updating. There were many positives. I saved the expense of a rental car by using the hotel's shuttle service. They provided transportation to and from the airport... more

The class of 1978, 1979 & 1980 held their class reunion in the banquet room at the Kirkley Hotel. Working with Michelle, Dreama & Faye was great. They left no stone unturned and the reunion was a success. They were very attentive with all we ask for and food preparation was great. Faye (oversight of food preparation & cash bar)... more

I've stayed at the Kirkley at least 10 times in the past couple of years and have never had a bad stay. My parents have also stayed here at least 10 times as well. We have always been impressed with the accommodations especially compared to the price. The staff has always been super friendly and the rooms always clean. We've... more

We decided on having our Daughter's Wedding at The Kirkley about a year before her wedding (Wedding Sept 09). We attended many bridal expos and even the one held at the Kirkley and at several Inn's. We have attended weddings at the West Manor and several Country Clubs in the Lynchburg area. We have had so many comments about how... more

The Kirkley Hotel was the only hotel in Lynchburg that would work with us in securing a large block of rooms. We had lots of people staying there and I heard nothing but great reviews from all of them. I never heard a negative statement. The people were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the size of the rooms,... more

My wife and I traveled out to VA to visit a close friend, who recommended the Kirkley as a great place stay for a more than reasonable rate. Due to other travel issues we arrived very late (1 am ish) it was very easy to find from the freeway. The front desk staff was very accommodating and efficient,, I had... more
