This is a fine B&B run by competent and caring hosts and staff who cater to your needs. It is an historic building set back from the road with large trees, meadows, and lawns leading you into the site off the road. It is as convenient as you can possibly get if you are interested in Monticello. The Monticello hiking... More

Had a wonderful stay! Would go back in a minute. Thanks to Bob and Carolyn for their super hospitality. Beautiful place. Lovely home. Lovely lawn and gardens. We also enjoyed the other guests. One of the best things about a bed and breakfast is the opportunity of meeting other people. The breakfasts were outstanding. The late afternoon front porch gatherings... More

Our part of my daughter's wedding party had a wonderful time at this beautiful B&B that could not have been more convenient to our locations (Ashlawn; Clifton Inn; and Belmont Park). Food (breakfast and nightly baked goods snacks) were perfect. The owner even knew my wife's college (University of Notre Dame) basketball coach and invited her over for a reunion!... More

We spent our 1 year anniversary in Charlottesville, VA at the Inn. We stayed in the Jefferson Room which is right off the living room so not as private but very nice with a private patio off the side. The living quarters were very well maintained with gorgeous grounds right off the main road which is within minutes from Monticello,... More

The hosts are very accessible and considerate - friendly and helpful - from offering glasses of delicious local wine to providing walking maps and good restaurant tips. It is clear that they both put a lot of careful thought and effort into making their Inn a beautiful and comfortable place for their guests. Bob was outside planting up a storm... More

Carolyn and Bob were very good hosts and give great advice on what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The grounds are well maintained with a great view from the front porch.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Monticello in April, and we will certainly be back. Our room, the Lilac Room, had a gorgeous canopy bed, comfy chairs, and our own private side porch on which to enjoy morning coffee and the delicious home made baked goods that Jenny, the concierge, brought out each... We recently spent our anniversary in Charlottesville, Virginia. What a spectacular area. The Inn at Monticello is a beautiful place to stay. The Jefferson Room was so beautiful and comfortable...suited our moods perfectly since we visited Monticello. I would highly recommend The Inn at Monticello. Breakfast was delicious and the people warm and inviting.

My wife and I visited Charlottesville for her birthday trip. It was our first trip to Charolttesville togather. The Inn at Monticello was the perfect place to stay. The Innkeepers, Bob and Carolyn, were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. The location of the Inn was ideal! We were within walking distance to Monticello and we had easy access to Charlottesville and... More
