The parking was a little confusing when we arrived, but we were happy to realize garage parking was available. At check-in we received a friendly greeting and a cup of tea. Very "central" location, but noisy. The most disappointing aspects were the lack of common areas to sit, and the breakfasts which, quite frankly, were absolutely terrible. We enjoyed our stay here because in was centrally located and very comfortable. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We had the Madison room and the bed and linens were. very comfy. You can keep your car parked and walk or take the free trolley around. more

This was our first stay at a B&B and the Dinsmore House has set the bar pretty high. Denise & Ryan were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Our stay at The Dinsmore Inn was excellent. We have stayed in many Bed and Breakfast establishments in Virginia and this is by far, the best place we have visited. When we were looking for a place to stay in Charlottesville, we looked at the Dinsmore House website and were impressed. Impressions on arrival were not so good however as we were disappointed to find that the inn sits on a busy main road and it’s a reasonable mile walk into town.
