If I ever return to Charlottesville I won't have to worry about finding a place to stay. The English Inn is the perfect spot: great room, great amenities, and great value. Special thanks to Megan and Lindsay for their cheerful smiles and excellent service. More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a few days ago and we enjoyed the stay there. The Hotel has chracter (English Tudor style building etc) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location, about a 10 mts drive from the campus of UVA. The room is large and the beds were one of the most comfortable... More

The English Inn was a really nice, well maintained and friendly hotel to stay at. My room was excellent (mini king suite) and the mattress was phenominal! They provided a hot breakfast each morning and afternoon tea with cookies and snacks. One of the best things was the fact that I could use Gold's Gym for free! The gym is... More

Lindsay, the front desk associate, made my stay spectacular. Her personality shone almost as brightly as her shining smile. I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. The room was nice too. More

I chose this Inn because it was not a chain and looked nice. We were pleasantly surprised, we chose a King room suit as we travel with 2 little boys and need a little extra room. The rooms are old but overall clean and spacious. The heated pool was 86 and no one was in there. We swam for 1... More

I've stayed at this place a few times, mostly when other places in Charlottesville are not available. If you are expecting a hotel or any sort of luxury, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a room that will probably be clean, easy parking, and a quick breakfast then this is your place. The location is okay if you have... More

Stayed here based on trip advisor ranking and could not have been more disappointed. I expect just a few things to be done well at a hotel. I enjoy a nice clean room with a comfortable bed, a nice strong shower and a decent work out facility. Well, I got to the hotel and it was dark, dated and dirty.... More

From comfortable rooms to the relaxing sunken Tudor-style lobby,as well as the impresssive complementary breakfast buffet, this hotel is a great destination for a chill-out break. In addition, the huge pool and adjoining spa area provide a great way to work-out any tension you may have brought along as "unwanted baggage". More
