The worst place we stayed in on our recent trip to the states. As a travel agent I am normally very particular about where I stay and do a lot of research. This was a last minute booking and as we wanted to stay nearer the village of Stowe opted for this instead of one of the bigger resort hotels.... more

We stayed here for two nights for vacation. We chose the Edinburg Suite and thought it had a really great view, comfortable bed, and huge jacuzzi. The room was very clean and spacious, although it was a bit dated, with green carpet and pink and maroon decor. The breakfast was good; you order from the menu. It was not exceptional,... more

I rarely write trip reviews, but I had such a great experience at the Ye Olde England Inn that I chose to do so. This hotel is a great place for a quick weekend getaway. While small families and friends traveling could stay here, it is ideal for romance. The inn is located in the heart of Stowe so you... more

Rooms were clean and comfortable although a little basic considering the cost, having said that this is one of the cheaper places to stay in Stowe. The bar is excellent with friendly staff and a great range of beers and single malts to choose from and the food is top notch, although breakfast was average. Obviously having the name England... more

We spent two nights here, and room 1 was small and you had to climb on a chair to reach the air condition. The building dates back to the 18th. century and the reception area is dark and in keeping with the times it was built. I took a tour of the suites in another building and would suggest staying... more

We stayed only one night and, although we liked Stowe, we certainly will not go back to Ye Olde England Inn. Room 4 in the old building was at the end of a narrow corridor, the door barely fitted and was hard to open because of the recently fitted carpet, which was at least new - nothing else was! The... more

Felt that hotel was trying too hard to be "Olde England". If you like lots of tankards and prints of England in 18th century then this is the place for you. Good selection of British beers although on the expensive side. Our stay slightly spoilt by uncomfortable mattress. Stowe appears to be ideal as a summer or winter destination. more

This hotel is in a good location on a main road. The rooms are dated, well-worn with soiled carpets in the halls. It smells old and looks overused. The cheapest room was over $160/night. The restaurant is very over- priced as is the wine list. Most of the wines were more costly than the cruise ship we just left. Not... more

We had never been to Stowe and the Inn was recommended to us by a local resident. Chris and Lynn were very nice and welcoming. The room was large enough for our party of four. We had dinner in the restaurant and were delighted by the English menu; breakfast was surprising - even the oatmeal was a treat! The staff... more

We had a lovely stay at Ye Olde England Inne in Stowe from the friendly reception by Robert when we arrived, wonderful English breakfasts, drinks in the authentic english pub and superb service in Mr Pickwick's restaurant. Our room was charmingly decorated and had fabulous views over the hills surrounding Stowe. We will certainly be back!! more
