Felt that hotel was trying too hard to be "Olde England". If you like lots of tankards and prints of England in 18th century then this is the place for you. We had a lovely stay at Ye Olde England Inne in Stowe from the friendly reception by Robert when we arrived, wonderful English breakfasts, drinks in the authentic english pub and superb service in Mr Pickwick's restaurant.
