I worked as a maid at The Yankee Traveler a few years ago. The staff takes care to thoroughly clean each room. The heaters are vacuumed out, all surfaces are cleaned including moving furniture to clean under them, televisions, chair and table legs, shower curtains, etc. The rooms have beautiful wood walls which are cleaned regularly. I was intersted in reserving a room at the Yankee Traveler on the internet. However, all I got was a complex effort to sell all St. Johnsbury hotels with no way to find room price and availability. I wasted over 1/2 hour on this and finally called the hotel on the telephone. So much for progress. more
