We stayed at the North Hero House last month while on a trip through New England. The location was wonderful, right on the lake and the foliage was in peak season. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and a great breakfasts in the mornings. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. The over all atmosphere of the... more

We stayed only one night at this lovely inn just at the end of the peak fall folliage season. We had a Special Value room in the main inn and so ony saw the least-expensive room. It was small, but quite adequate, with a comfortable bed, a very clean, nice bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The cheapest price was a... more

We stayed at North Hero House for two nights. The main inn building and the flowers and landscaping on the property are well kept up; however, our room in the Cove House needed better housekeeping. The window to the enclosed porch needed washing, and the porch screens needed cleaning. Also the heater was quite noisy. Our room and bathroom was... more

I was originally supposed to stay 2 nights at their 350.00 suite. It was named the governors suite..yes what decade? Furniture very dated. Bed was so old sagged in the middle. Toilet you had to flush 3 times and screen in screened porch very dirty. Had the worst sleep and had to sleep most of the night on the couch.... more

We stayed here on our way to Quebec City. We swam from the little beach to the floating raft, and sunned ourselves on the grassy area that has water on both sides. It was a beautiful day and the lake was mirror calm. We stayed in the Cove house #2. The furniture is a little dated but it was quite... more

Everything about this Inn was great. It is run to a high standard and is very welcoming. It is a step across the road to the waterfront, and very peaceful and tranquil. All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed talking to staff and owners in the bar before dinner. The food was excellent. It was hard to choose but... more

We stayed in North Hero House with part of a bike touring group. Most of the rooms were waterfront on Lake Champlain (except for ours unfortunately) and featured screened porches that had hammocks in them. I found myself lusting over everyone else's room. Would not recommend staying in any of the rooms that aren't directly facing the lake, as they... more

A hidden gem in the Champlain Islands. Our family stayed for 4 nights in a suite overlooking the water. Incredible location, fabulous views, nice decor and screened-in porch were all very nice but it was the people who worked there that made it special. An incredible attention to detail and concern over our stay. Everyone took a special interest in... more

During a recent trip to the Grand Isles in Vermont, my husband and I spent three very nice nights here. We had a room on the top floor facing the lake. It was a very quiet and comfortable room with a spacious bathroom equipped with a clawfoot tub and a large shower with seating and plenty of room to manuveur.... more
