Didn't realize there was an old vs. new portion, but our room was a clean and restful place just for the night on our way up to Jay Peak. Expected less from the "motel" and the rate, but pleasantly suprised. Super clean bathroom! Good location and not sure if I agree with the breakfast comments from other reviewers. The room... More

Neat, quiet and close to The Brown Cow (homemade raisin bread is to die for!) Simple to find, and very well kept. The staff was friendly at the front desk and the pool was a welcome retreat for a cold January day. Make sure you go down the hill and check out the other restaurants in town - Baan Thai,... More

Clean. Stay here for work and pleasure while in the Northeast Kingdom. Hotel staff is accommodating, room big and comfortable. More

Nice, very clean hotel in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Our family has stayed there twice, once in the summer, and then again this past weekend. Hotel staff is accommodating, giving us helpful guidance to restaurants and stores in the area. Beds are not the most comfortable, but fine for a short stay. Both rooms we have had have been very clean... More

I reserved four rooms in advance of a conference, and canceled one the day prior without problem. On arrival, service was prompt, and the AAA/AARP discount was offered even though the rooms were at a discount rate. Because there were not enough single bed rooms available, the receptionist offered to charge the lower rate. The rooms were small but clean,... More

In my opinion this is a small town motel that charges big town prices...and gets away with it. We were placed in the newer addition on the second floor. Very noisy. The bathrooms are located at the hallway walls and you could actually hear people there. Breakfast was coffee, juice, cereal in a small room difficult to move in. Staff... More

Stayed here for a week while in the area for work. We asked for and stayed in the new building which I highly recommend, especially for an extended stay. Refigerator and microwave in these new rooms was a real plus. Nice pool and hottub area over by the old building you have to walk outside through the parking lot to... More

Not a lot of choices in the area. Stayed here because of the reasonable prices and central location to Jay Peak and Quebec ski mountains. Downtown Newport is short drive and motel is convenient to the interstate. For a relatively rural area, there's a good selection of places to eat. More

Basic accomodation but overpriced. This place is old, the bathrooms are small, the TV awful...keep going. There are other, more modern places just 5 minutes down the road. More

Not a really bad place to stay. I was here on business and there are very few choices in the area. I asked for a room in the new section but was told the only rooms available cost $193.00 per night, which I think is ridiculous for this area, so I stayed in the older rooms. My room was clean,...
