Needing a winter getaway, I searched the internet for an inexpensive place to stay. The Mount Tabor Inn had a special on a three night stay, and the location was good.
Nestled in the Green mountain National Forrest, the Inn sits along route 7. It is termed an Inn, but it's really a motel with outside entrances. The rooms are very clean, and there are a few perks. Free Coffee, a mini-fridge, satellite tv with plenty of movies. No phones in the room, but there is a Verizon tower close by if you have a cell phone. The view is amazing. Each morning I would wake up to the sight of mountains, and at night the stars light up the sky.
The location is quite good. I wanted to ski at a few nearby resorts and wasn't sure how far away they would be. I was surprised at how close it is. Bromley, Stratton, Okemo, and Killington are within a half hour. Manchester is about 15 minutes away, and is a really nice town. The people are very friendly, food is good, and it has a very... more
