We stayed there for a weekend to ski in Jay Peak. The inn is 15-20 min drive from the mountain. We booked last minute, so all they had available were the suites. It was slightly more expensive than a room but you have more space, the living room has a pull out sofa. So the 1 bedroom suites are apartments... More

We have stayed at the Black Lantern Inn several times and will keep coming back. The Inn is comfortable, clean and filled with beautiful antiques in the rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the food is excellent! Most importantly, we are greeted warmly by the staff on our arrival and invited back we check out! Charlie, our chef in... More

Stayed at Burdette House Suite #2 The Inn is a beautiful 19th century stagecoach house. Decorations are very typical of the area. The bedroom is well furnished with a nice double bed, firm mattress and plenty of comforters to keep warm. There is plenty of heating elements all around to fend off the cold Vermont winters. Extra perks for outdoors... More

Planned a trip for the family after looking at different options . This trip was planned well in advance and thought it would be fun to have the kids stay at Inn rather than a big chain hotel. Well to be honest we can't say that the service wasn't good. Our disappointment came with the very unprofessional way the reservation... More

My wife and I and another couple recently stayed two nights as part of a Jay Peak weekend. The restaurant is the high point of the experience with the pub being close behind. The waitresses were very attentive and the food was very good. The rooms were a little more rustic and smaller than I would have initially guessed but... More

My buddy and me go skiing every year and this year we went to Jay Peak. We were looking for an alternative to the high priced hotel at the mountain and staying in Stowe Verment which is an hour away in good conditions. I found the Black Lantern Inn, which is about a 15 minute ride from Jay Peak. The... More

The food at dinner was very good. We were disappointed given the inn's proximity to Jay Peak that they didn't serve a full breakfast on Sunday, but rather a brunch at 9:30. They were accommodating in so far as providing a limited offering at 7am (muffins, cereal, breakfast sandwiches), but I would have expected a full service breakfast at 7am... More

We stayed for 2 nights over MLK weekend to ski at Jay and we couldn't have picked a better spot. The owner, Greg, was very cool and he has a fantastic staff as well. We had so much fun just sitting at the bar and shooting the [--] with everyone there. The food was great, as others have mentioned. Everything... More

A very sweet, old inn. Room could have been a tad cleaner, but it was OK overall. I really enjoyed dinner in the tavern and breakfast, which is included, was just perfect. I would definitely come again.

Great food, great service, great accomodations. We took our motorcycles here for a weekend visit. The food was delicious, so much so that we ate here both evenings. We arrived back from our ride on Saturday and it started to drizzle, the owner came out and made room for our bikes in his barn so they would be dry for... More
