We recently spent four nights at The Butternut. We really enjoyed our time, and the breakfast cannot be beat!! The location is GREAT and Jim, the owner, is extremely accommodating. We brought our three year old son, and Jim wanted to make sure that we had things for him to do. We took him up on a couple suggestions and... More

I stayed at the Butternut last weekend in January, and while the rain and warm temps made skiing a bit disappointing, my experience at the Inn was anything but. Jim, the owner/manager warmly greeted us as we arrived. He gave us a tour of the inn and immediately corrected a miscommunication regarding the type of room we'd requested. Our first... More

The Butternut is the only place to stay if you're going to Killington. Jim, the owner makes you feel like you're in your own home and is very gracious. There are shuttles to and from the mountain and the Butternuts' breakfast can't be beat! More

The Butternut Inn was the best place for our girls snowboard trip! It felt safe and Jim was so hospitable and helpful even before we arrived, which was great since it was the 1st time we'd ever been to Vermont. We didn't rent a car but the shuttle conveniently picked us up every morning right in front to go to... More

My husband will never let me live this one down. I was responsible for picking a place & booking the trip. I did a ton of research including reading these reviews. I was even told by Killington staff that BI "is the most renovated & new". It is neither of these things. After an intense day of skiing we checked... More

I could not have had a better experience. I was traveling to Vermont on a limited budget. When researching for places to stay in Killington, I saw that it had a huge breakfast included. Having a good breakfast before a bug day on the mountain is a must. The Butternut had a true homemade Vermont style breakfast. Rooms were in... More

We ate breakfast here when we were staying next door at the North Star Lodge. The pancakes were terrible, not even cooked through. DO NOT eat breakfast here!!! More

My husband and I ate here this morning. We are staying at a different hotel, but we were looking for some pancakes. Coffee & Juice is serve yourself, but is included in the price of your meal. All you can eat pancakes, blueberry, strawberry etc. for only $10. The waiter was super friendly and the owner stopped by while we... More

I stayed at Butternut with my brother, dad, and nephew. We wanted to find something close to the ski trails that was clean and affordable. We got exactly what we wanted. Jim, the owner, was terrific! He was very accomodating and friendly. The breakfast that was included was huge and tasty. It feels like almost like a B&B. The rooms... More
