We chose the Squire House to celebrate our 41st anniversary. The Bed and Breakfast is incredibly beautiful and no detail, no matter how small, was over looked by our gracious host and hostess, Roger and Gaye. We have travelled B&B's for over thirty years and owned our own B&B for 15 years, and we truly think this was our most... More

Our second visit and even better than the first, I now feel that Roger and Gaye are old friends. They make a stay with them like a house party with true luxury thrown in. Nothing is too much trouble and Gaye's cooking is superb. They do not serve dinner but the breakfasts are as big as a dinner and they... More

Make sure this is the last stop on your itinerary, because nowhere else will measure up to it. Rooms are large and beautifully furnished and there are 3 exquisite common rooms for guests. Breakfast is a delight, served on fine china with real silverware. The hosts are extremely considerate and helpful. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. More

Our afternoon flight from Newark was cancelled (not a cloud in the sky, mind you) and we didn't get into BTV until 11:30 PM only to discover that the eight hour delay apparently wasn't enough time for Continental to figure out a way to get our bags on board with us. We eventual got to Dorset at 2:45 AM to... More

This was our second time staying in the Squire house. We loved the house, the property gardens, the delicious breakfast and the beautiful and comfortable suites. Gay an Roger, the property's owners made, as usual, our stay wonderful. More

There are few travel destinations in the world where everything is perfect: the atmosphere, the hosts, the setting, the decor, the landscaping, the food, the service, the welcoming perspective...everything, really. This is The Squire House. Everywhere you turn, the details of your experience (the beautiful linens, the darling night light in the bathroom, the mini sculpture in one of the... More

Loved my stay at the Squire House. The accommodations were absolutely top notch. Super comfy bed. Fireplace in the Bedroom. Delicious home made granola for breakfast. Roger and Gay, the Inn Keepers were a delight. I've stayed in a lot of B&B's on the west coast and this Vermont was he top. More

I have stayed at Squire House at least once a week since January 2011. Gay and Roger are terrific hosts, and they care deeply about their guests and meeting their needs. The rooms are impeccable, the facility is beautifully decorated and furnished, and the food is delicious. If you are in the Manchester/Dorset area, this is the place to stay. More

Beautiful, warm, and serene are the three adjectives that best describe the Squire House. From the moment we drove up the long driveway, we knew we were in for a very special stay. The innkeepers, Gay and Roger, greeted us at the door, helped us with our luggage, and gave us a tour of the house. And what a house... More

My husband and I just left Squire House, after a winter weekend stay. Having traveled extensively, staying at B and B's, we can say with certainty Squire House is the finest, in all aspects. Gay and Roger, the innkeepers, are salt of the earth, intelligent, and service oriented, offering top notch recommendations, history of the area, and warm welcomes. Our... More
