My sister and I were extremely lucky to nab two weekend nights (Saturday and Sunday) on Columbus Day weekend for our uncle's 90th birthday bash in nearby Charlotte. We were absolutely delighted at the first floor accommodations, privacy, convenience, beauty, and pricing. When we weren't marveling at the colorful, well-designed interior, we were walking the neighborhood enjoying all of the... more

What a find! I was looking for some extra space and a kitchen to help me get ready for the VT Marathon and didn't want to be cooped up in a hotel room. I was so glad to find this place that must have had 700 to 800 sq. ft - enough that you could have lived here (on a... more

My husband and I spent 3 nights here. We really liked the spacious apartment-style room, the lovely decor and the privacy. Andrea is very accommodating if you request her help, but leaves you alone if you don't. As other reviewers mentioned, it is a little removed from downtown. However, the benefits of staying here far outweighed that minor disadvantage. We... more

I really can't find fault with this beautiful place to stay. We booked it because we're not into the total B&B lace/floral experience and prefer privacy, freedom of timings, and a lighter breakfast. It was ideal on all those counts. I should mention the standard of decor is extremely high (deserves to be a magazine feature, really) and more than... more

Both the accommodation and the place are simply breathtaking. The room, above a converted carriage barn, is exactly as the website shows. It is bright, airy and spotlessly clean. Andrea’s welcome was very friendly, but then we were left to enjoy the stay, but helped when we sought advice. It was so pleasant to have the space provided, with every... more

We visited Burlington over Thanksgiving last year and stayed at the delightful Howard Street Guest House. Unlike a traditional B&B, you are responsible for your own breakfast and have total privacy (though proprietress Andrea is quite friendly and helpful and assisted us in selecting a place to have Thanksgiving dinner – Pauline’s Restaurant was excellent) – and that suited us... more

We stayed in this B & B while visiting Burlinton for the marathon. Very private with many special details. Off the beaten path but well worth it! more

We stayed here for 3 nights and were more than happy with Howard Street Guest House. It's a lovely bright, airy self-contained apartment that's a pleasure to wake up in. You make your own breakfast and there's no servicing of the apartment each day, but that was fine with us. Andrea was very welcoming and helpful in advising us on... more

This accommodation is immaculate, spacious, private and very homely. (The photos on the website are a good indication of what the room is like.) We had a very relaxing stay here in this well-kept residential area. Personally I found the walk to downtown Burlington a little too far, especially in the dark at night. However, it can be done. Only... more
