Stayed here while loading a moving truck and departing the area...so we were thrashed the night we stayed here. Got a great rate even though it was peak season (albeit not a very good leaf peeping season due to recent torrential rains), and was told we could have the room for that rate for another night if needed even though... The lodge reminded me more of a dorm room. Tiny toilet area, linoleum floors, small TV, cramped standup shower, no internet access in the rooms, two-pronged outlets, and the shades don't block out the sunlight!? That being said, the staff were very welcoming, the room was clean, nothing was broken, and the bed wasn't uncomfortable. A touch expensive ($70/night) for... More

Deluxe room was on par with holiday inn's or ramada's or renaissance etc. and maybe more cleaner. Run by very courteous couple. The room was clean, very very very very well maintained. The view outside is refreshing, hills on the back, gravel path in the front, state highway passing by and green mountains beyond. Fall was in the air everywhere. There is... More

My husband and I came to Brandon,VT for a wedding. Family owned and you could see the pride in Ownership. The hotel room was rather small and so was the bathroom, but the service made up for all the hotel lacked. I was greeted very promptly and efficiently. Was given a map and all the attractions of the area. The... More

We stayed here last night and had a wonderful night sleep. I was so impressed with the customer service from Aaron when we arrived (his little toddler handed us our room key!). The room was small but clean and pleasant looking. The bed was comfortable. It really had everything we needed. Great coffee in the morning (fair trade coffee). Those... More

I did not stay at this motel, only because of the pending hurricane Irene. I had a reservation, was going to meet my son from Boston for a wedding, but because of the weather, he decided to stay at home. I called Saturday morning, 4 hours before I was to check in, and ecplained the situation. They were very kind... More

So Columbus Day Weekend, in Vermont can be a challenge to say the least. Leaf peepers, college reunions, and extended stay requirements at most hotels. An all around pain that is rewarded with some of the best, most beautiful scenery around. Wanting to be central to everything, we decided on the Brandon area for our base of travel. Of course,... Reminded me of a 1950's motor lodge but in a good way. The "economy" room was exactly as advertised - small but with a good queen size bed, an older TV but with the addition of a small fridge. Everyhting was very clean and well maintained. Very nice grounds and setting and very quiet. Owners were helpful and pleasant. The... More

As traveling musicians we have seen the gamut of hotels and motels, and sadly, many times the smaller "mom and pop" type motor court places are run down, administered by couldn't-care-less caretakers whose standards of cleanliness are--shall we say--less than hygienic. This place is a pleasant surprise in every way, immaculate rooms, great value, friendly owners, accommodating staff, great continental... More
