This motel is under new management. They have spent some time and made repairs. It shouldn't be judged against The Waldorf Astoria. It is nice for it's stated price range. As Econolodge motels go, it is in the top of it's class. The pool and spa were very clean. The room we had was clean. The staff was very nice... more

We were not planning on staying in Vernal, but the meeting we had planned went into the next day. After reading the previous reviews, I was very leery of staying here. We checked in, and got a decent price for the room, especially for Vernal in the summer. The exterior has been redone, the room was clean, including the bathroom.... more

We were looking for an econo place, and the price was not too bad, but if you can afford more, choose some place else. It had all the amenities of a really good hotel, like an ironing board, safe, little bottles of bath items, but the place was not very clean because it is old. The carpets need to be... more

I paid $80 for a room that I knew shouldn't cost more than $35 in any other market; then found that the room was still somewhat unclean (carpet/towels/sheets were dingy), the door wouldn't lock (no latch, and deadbolt didn't work), there was toilet paper/tissue stuffed in the door's peep hole, the faucet drips constantly, and the wallpaper in the bathroom... more

At the first sight we thought that it'd be a terrible hotel. Nevertheless the staff was friendly, the room was clean and quite big. Moreover it offers a small free breakfast so we'd definitely stay there again if we'd like to go back to Vernal, which is a cute small town. more

We were travelling Western USA on 3 week vacation. This was easily the worst hotel we stayed but I guess that some of the others gave such good value for money compared to what we get in England that on reflection pehaps this place wasn't TOO bad. At first glance rooms seemed fairly clean but had a strange smell when... more

Since the Best Western motels were booked, I was forced to stay at the Econolodge. But it really wasn't so bad. A look at the exterior of the motel might give you cause for some concern, but once inside the room, the beds were in decent shape (firm and not creaky) and the air conditioner worked well. For the off... more

Warning!!! Don't stay here. Staff was cold and unfriendly. The room had a terrible smell. Continental Breakfast? What a joke! They had 1 dozen donuts for the entire motel. Unless you're up at 6:00 a.m. you are out of luck! It was overpriced, dirty and smelly. more
