A very beautiful place in a valley close to a wonderful Capitol Reef National Park. Genuine hospitality, great taste (everything wooden and well built),nice rooms (not large), minimalistic but convenient bathrooms. No TV and phones, which is plus in my books. Has good AT&T reception (rarity across the country) and wireless internet for those needed connectivity. Food is reasonable in... More

We travel the west and stay in a lot of places. The Lodge at Red River Ranch is one of the best. Highly recommend it for the rustic atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful scenery. Plan to return someday. More

We stayed at the Lodge for two nights and were very happy with it. It is set down the road from the highway, and has lovely views of the red rocks surrounding it. We stayed in the Chaparral room on the first floor and were very pleased with our room. There is a nice sitting garden just outside the back... More

We stayed in the Cornflower room for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and we had dinner looking out over the field with the Buffalo in. Dinner was very good but is only served on Fiday & Saturday night. We slept very well but it is a wooden building... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while hiking with a small group in nearby Capitol Reef NP. If you look at the various ratings for this lodge you will see a wide diversity of ratings. I fall somewhere in the middle. My ratings in the 6 categories averaged out to a 3.67 so I rounded and gave it a 4... More

This lodge in the Capitol Reef National Park area is our favorite and we have returned for 3 years. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotless, & comfortable. The innkeepers and staff are pleasant and helpful. The buffalo are amazing to watch from the restaurant and stargazing from the hot tub on a clear night is not to be missed! The... More

We were quite disappointed with our stay. The ranch portrays an image of a luxury resort, but they do not treat their guests like you would expect for this type of resort. There is an unwelcoming sort of feel in the place. As an example, they have a beautiful great room that would be nice to sit and read in,... More

The Lodge at Red River was everything we expected. Based on the intitial article out of Sunset Magazine, and our research on line, our experience exceeded our expectations. The gathering room with huge fireplace allowed us to totally unwind. The cozy library on the second level allowed us to check email in total privacy. Our room was cozy and comfortable,... More

This Lodge was beautifully decorated with many lovely antiques. The rooms were quaint and roomy. I think for the price it would have been nice to get a breakfast included. It was a pleasant stay with beautiful surroundings and the buffalo in the field was a nice sight. However, it just seemed too quiet. There was a TV in the... More

Lovely & well maintained lodge in a beautiful red rock setting in the bend of the Fremont River. I'm not sure I would call the rooms "luxury," but they are very nice. Best thing was breakfast looking out on the bison. Some of the staff were rather cool, but some were quite friendly. Manager seems really stressed. I think it's... More
