This lodge in the Capitol Reef National Park area is our favorite and we have returned for 3 years. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotless, & comfortable. The innkeepers and staff are pleasant and helpful. The buffalo are amazing to watch from the restaurant and stargazing from the hot tub on a clear night is not to be missed! The... More

We were quite disappointed with our stay. The ranch portrays an image of a luxury resort, but they do not treat their guests like you would expect for this type of resort. There is an unwelcoming sort of feel in the place. As an example, they have a beautiful great room that would be nice to sit and read in,... More

The Lodge at Red River was everything we expected. Based on the intitial article out of Sunset Magazine, and our research on line, our experience exceeded our expectations. The gathering room with huge fireplace allowed us to totally unwind. The cozy library on the second level allowed us to check email in total privacy. Our room was cozy and comfortable,... More

This Lodge was beautifully decorated with many lovely antiques. The rooms were quaint and roomy. I think for the price it would have been nice to get a breakfast included. It was a pleasant stay with beautiful surroundings and the buffalo in the field was a nice sight. However, it just seemed too quiet. There was a TV in the... More

Lovely & well maintained lodge in a beautiful red rock setting in the bend of the Fremont River. I'm not sure I would call the rooms "luxury," but they are very nice. Best thing was breakfast looking out on the bison. Some of the staff were rather cool, but some were quite friendly. Manager seems really stressed. I think it's... More

Great views, great staff, great food. The lodge is more expensive than some of the other options nearby, but it's worth every penny. When the staff gets the fire going in your room and turns on the Native American music, it's the best place to be in the winter. More

Consider that at $160/night one can stay at the 5-star Palazzo suites resort in Vegas or the 5-star Grand America resort in Salt Lake, but more importantly that Torrey Schoolhouse was $110 with breakfast included the same night we stayed here. During the weekend, the owners require a 2-night stay or pay 25% more. There is a wonderful breakfast that... More

We just spent 3 days hiking and relaxing in the area. The Lodge at Red River Ranch was just what we needed after long days of hiking. We loved the personal attention, friendly, courteous and professional staff. Our room - the Cornflower room - faced the most incredible view of the red cliffs in the area. We go to southern... More

Lots of great things about it- great restaurant, gorgeous setting with great hiking around it, beautiful and spacious great room. Our room was small, but clean and comfy, some of our friends had big and beautiful rooms. I think it's a great place to stay and would do it again. I would recommend to the owners that they have the... More

We stayed here for two nights in the early part of a cold November. The place was quiet and we slept well, but if there had been any other guests we felt the noise would have travelled around the inn. The main lounge has high ceilings, a wonderful fireplace, which was lit for us, and any chatter from clients would... More
