It may be that the managers of the Super 8 in St. George will learn from experience, but for now you might want to shop around. I paid $75 for a very bare room with no extras, not even a clock radio or hair dryer. The curtains on the ground-floor room were hung badly and would close only with difficulty. The king-sized bed had a headboard that was much too small for it. I could hear the plumbing roaring from nearby rooms. There was no guest washer/dryer facility.
On the positive side, the room was fairly clean and the water pressure good. But the continental breakfast had disappeared by the time I was ready for it at about 7 a.m. (I saw the staff re-stocked later.) Perhaps most disconcerting of all was the check-in clerk's insistance that I sign a pledge to not smoke in my room or be prepared to face a $150 fine. I don't smoke, and I appreciate a non-smoking site. But why threaten guests with a fine unless necessary? This very unwelcoming attitude was also evident in the list...
