We have stay here 3 times in 2 years. Rooms are small and different but then we just need a bed and a shower. I laugh about the review with a scorpion in the room sink, hey this is the desert, would you rather have roaches! Coyotes and snakes are part of the landscape and add to the flavor of... More

Had scorpion in room on the sink. The front desk person was totally unconcerned. The room appeared clean despite the unwelcome visitor. Front desk staff needs customer service training! More

Good location for Monument Valley. Being mid-November, this was the only hotel open in Mexican Hat. It's a motel, was mainly catering to visiting workers so it's not a fancy dude place. Rooms basic, no drinks facilities, hairdrier or toiletries. The nearby ice machine was switched off so supply pipe wouldn't freeze. Got ice from the cafe to chill our... More

Great spot, all room overlook the San Juan River. At first the gal at the check in counter didn't want to stop watching tv to help us but once we got her attention she was fine. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. There were a couple of attractive sitting areas at the edge of the cliff overlooking the... More

I a bit more expensive than the bigger city, but there open year round in the middle of no where. Wifi was lagguy and the ac/heater don't have a continuous fan option so it make a steady noise during the night. Bed ware more than comfy. Not to noisy, but you could hear the people passing in front the door.... More

We stayed here for one night in September 2011. The guy at check-in offered to trade the room cost for my Swatch watch and I wish I'd taken him up on that ! The room and shower room were just about OK for size and cleanliness but the lighting in the bedroom was very low. I was sitting at the... More

I stayed here in late October and most of the rooms were full. My room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the river. It was simple- but I don't need fancy. The whole premises had some charm to it. Overall, I thought the the place was great! They had tables and chairs set up next to the cliff, and it... More

I found this hotel and pre booked from Australia just by emailing them for availability. They held me a room and we paid when we arrived. This is a little gem, its carved out of the side of a mountain. The rooms are simple but the location is amazing. We spent the day at Monument Valley which is about 20... More

Signage is poor, it's easy to drive past, you need to take a hard left just before you run into the cliff. Rooms are not special, our glass shower was a poor design choice, making the bathroom feel crowded. Property is very tightly located between the cliffs and San Jaun River. There is a path down to the river and... More

Room has no coffee maker, no breakfast, internet service broke down the whole day, anyway the speed is very slow, bathroom windows has no netting, room is very small, provided with only one small desk, one chair, heater/air conditioner is right on top of the desk so the cool/hot air blow right on top of your face, only two lights for the...
