We chose to stay at a bed and breakfast as we started our hiking vacation in Utah so that we could learn more about the area and we made a good choice with the Rainbow Country Bed and Breakfast. Catherine was so knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful to us as we planned our daily hikes. Her breakfasts... More

Unpretentious. Homey. Quiet. Almost out of town. Not your typical "high-end" bed and breakfast. It is apparent that Catherine, who works 15 hour days to make it happen, enjoys sharing her home with guests. Her breakfast was filling and very tasty all three days we stayed there. Her guidance as to where we could explore was presented in a patient,... More

The house is full of interesting, eclectic bits and bobs, and Kathy is charming. The suites are all in a semi-basement, with it's own lounge/recreation room. Comfortable rooms and decent shower, but some might find the antique barbed wire and steer's skull displayed above the bed a bit off-putting. We laughed, and wondered how the skull would look with a... More

Catherine could not have been any nicer. She is a wealth of information regarding the Escalante area and was very helpful in describing the various trails. Her place is quiet and comfortable with a n ice breakfast. Would absolutly stay there on a return trip.

What higher recommendation can there be than when people keep returning again and again? We met one guest who had stayed at Catherine's seven time and a couple others who had returned at least once. If we go back to Escalante, that will be the place where we will stay.

We booked the Desert Garden room because it was the cheapest, although i always prefer to have the bathroom inside the room. When we arrived, the owner, Catherine, gave us the Rustic Charm room, with was bigger, at the same price because she had vacancy. Everything was very clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and it wasn't a... More

We enjoyed our night at the Rainbow Country BB. Catherine was a wonderful hostess. This was our first time staying at a BB and we didn't know what to expect. Catherine made us feel right at home. The place was charming and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Catherine gave us lots of information about the area and helped us decide... More

We spent 2 nights at Rainbow Country B&B during our 29 day trek across the US in July. We found it to be a welcome change from our endless string of hotels. Catherine was a thoughtful and helpful hostess who certainly knew the area well. We loved sitting on the porch watching the kitten try to catch the hummingbirds and... More

Catherine was an amazing host, welcoming us when we arrived late after a long drive, she even let us prepare a salad dinner etc that we had brought with us. We ate this on the great deck watching the hummingbirds feed, perfect! The location was beautiful... Bed and shower were great as were the other facilities, Hubbie loved he pool... More

Owner/host, Catherine, was friendly and informative. Her B&B is casual and homey, not fancy, but there was a lot of attention to "the little things" which made our stay very comfortable. The hot breakfast she made us was wonderful! We enjoyed talking with her over breakfast and would definitely recommend her inn to others. Also - we ate dinner at... More
