We spent one night here and wished we had more-a little dated butclean, very comfy, great beds and shower, internet was strong, terrific service, delicious restaurant.

Stayed two nights. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds & pillows. Numerous amenities like extra coffee packets, cleaning cloths, excellent collection of hiking guides plus the usual frig, micro, cable TV. Front desk very accommodating. It's not the Ritz but why would there be a Ritz in Escalante?

Clean, comfortable, great value. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the same was great too! Would stay again.

I say "motel" because we have not stayed in any of the B&B's. The people at the Circle D are a cut above their peers in many motels - anywhere. Stayed for one night and then stayed for another. After riding motorbikes and hiking all day the room was a welcome oasis. Wifi was solid, the AC worked great and the shower was clean. A bit of a fun, funky place and the owner couldn't have been nicer. I'll be back.

OK, so one big concern with this place. When we first checked in with our online reservations, the guy gave us a room that was basically and upside-down V -- the floor was totally uneven -- so bad that it was completely visually obvious that you couldn't sleep on the beds without rolling to the edges (and off!) The room was fine. The bathroom was clean but pretty old. Room was clean, too, however we found glasses under the bed which probably means that the carpet was not properly cleaned. For a short stay, however, it was satisfying and the Circle D Restaurant serves great burgers.

This time we booked a mini suite with kitchenette. It is spacious, comfortable and with all you need if you prefer to do your own cooking. We enjoyed it a lot after a day of exploring, as much as the great steaks in the restaurant.
