The breakfast was very good and management very friendly. If you're looking for frills you won't find them here. No room keys but they said nothing ever comes up missing. You can lock the door from inside the room. Could be a wonderful place if they'd do some repairs. One shower to share in hallway. Claw foot tub in our... More

The Hotel Turkey has a lot of potential but is in need of some restoration and cleaning. The service is great and everyone is really nice but the hotel could be so much better, it's definitely a diamond in the rough. The matress was badly worn out, don't sleep here if you have back issues. The town is very small... More

I love old fashioned small towns, and absolutely loved the kindness and great service we had at Hotel Turkey! Its old but in great condition and I havent ever had a bath in an OLD 4 legged tub before this visit! It was wonderful! I think I was visited by the ghost in the middle of the night, but he... More

Take a step back in time at the Turkey Hotel. Largely remaining as it was when it opened, you'll experience what those travelers getting of train experienced in 1927. It's not just the building either, but the service is personal and friendly, the epitome of rural Texas. The breakfast (included in your rate) was made to order and filling. In... More

I am a huge fan of Six-man football and often travel great distances to see a game. Such was the case this time. After the game between the Valley Patriots and the Happy Cowboys, one of the local coaches suggested I might want to spend the night at the Turkey Hotel. I took him up on that suggestion and am... I want to address some of the bad reviews. The Turkey Hotel is under new management and the bad reviews were with the previous owner. You will always have a clean room and a hot breakfast. They are also serving noon to evening on Fridays. You will not hear anyone having a fit or cussing the help! The food is... More
