I spent a few days at the Outback Oasis Motel and found it to be a great place to stay. Ruth and Roy are very accommodating and took care of all of my needs, and I had needs!! The rooms are comfortable and clean, and being masonry they keep a pretty steady temperature. Some rooms have carports on either side,... More

I stayed here for my first time after attending to the Big Bend Open Road Race. It was a lot of fun and a great experience, but we were also out working on the course in the baking sun, dust and wind for over 12 hours. When I saw the Outback Oasis, I knew I had to stay there. The... More

The Outback Oasis Motel is an old very well maintained motel, with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms were large, and very clean and, the the bath rooms were very large. The rooms were all furnished in 50's style western decor, there were also rockers and regular chairs on the front porches of the rooms. The pool area... More

I have been staying here even before Ruth and Roy owned this place. Beingf an avid snakehunter\collector, this motel has always been "snake friendly". Ruth and Roy have certainly helped put Snaderson on the map as a reptilian hub. They are personal friends of mine and they are super friendly people and treat everyone with the respect that they deserve.... More

Like the web page so booked in advance. Drove up after long day at Big Bend and was greeted warmly and helpfully by Ruth and an affectionate white cat named Casper. Room was very clean and well-appointed. Only complaint was one receptacle that didn't work. Very comfortable night's rest. Two restaurants nearby and gas right across street. Will stay again... More

After finding out that there was a town called “Sanderson” a couple of years ago there was only one place I wanted to visit as a Sanderson. We arrived and bought a number of souvenirs at a small gift shop on the main street before we checked into the Outback Oasis Motel. We received a very welcoming reception from Ruth... More

A group of Gold Wingers stopped here. If you're coming through here plan to stop. Motels are few and far between in this part of the country. This is clean and reasonably priced. We need to make sure these people stay in business. A great motorcycle hotel and good for anyone else.

We had been driving from San Antonio and I was getting concerned because the town seemed pretty empty. However we arrived at the Outback and were pleasantly surprised. It was a clean and cute room and though the bed sagged in the middle a bit it was still pretty comfortable. There isn't much in the town though in terms of... More

This is our home/office/pit stop/video editing haven during practice for the Big Bend Open Road Race. The friendly staff doesn't mind us rebuilding a front bumper, or changing the brakes in the parking lot, and there is plenty of trailer parking space. The rooms are clean and stocked, and the grounds are well-kept. This is far from your run-of-the-mill corporate... More

I have been making a motorcycle pilgrimage out to Big Bend every year on my motorcycles since 2003. I have stayed in several properties and the Outback Oasis Motel is one of my FAVORITES! it isn't very ritzy, but the rooms are clean and very nicely decorated in a West Texas kind of way. The motel owners are also very... More
