We stayed at Shark Reef Resort during our family's annual deep sea fishing trip. We have stayed many places in Port A and this is one of the most economical options we have found yet. The friendly owners let us choose between several rooms (some are renovated and some are dated). We chose a renovated king room and paid $69... More

Stayed there because I had no place else to stay. The rates were great and the room was big, clean, and comfortable. I have traveled; stayed in 5 star hotels and slept under trucks in the Sahara desert. I have always found beach communities to be expensive for what you get, hundreds a night for maybe a view of the... More

This was a really clean and pleasant hotel. While it is one of the older hotels it was really nice and the room was really cool and it was over a 100 degrees outside. We had checked into other hotels and they were not as clean or as nice. We highly recommend this hotel. Odie and Melissa Merrifield More

Shark Reef Resort was an average 2.5 star hotel that's locally owned by a family. It was more like a 1-story motel. I didn't like that it was $110/nt, but apparently everywhere was booked with no vacancy that weekend in July. Port Aransas is a pretty small town on the island, but this hotel was located on the opposite end... More
