I have never used this site before but felt I needed to express how disappointed I was with this 'hotel'/b&b/someones home. The fact is its not a hotel or b&b - this is a couples home and guests are not made to feel atall welcome. I am upset that I spent London prices and left with a very sour taste.... More

Our room was enormous and very comfortable. The building and grounds exume charm. But, like others, we did not feel welcome; the hosts, it seems to me belong in a different business. And the food was good but certainly not extraordinary and the prices were mindbending. As a minor example we made one local phone call and were charged 1.50... More

Further to the previous reviews I can say that my wife and I spent two nights at Greshornish in September 2011. The house and the room were faultless and in general we enjoyed our stay. As to the comments regarding the severe attitude of the hosts. We have to agree that the booking process, the strict check in times and... More

We stayed for four nights in August with our family and were frustrated by this place. If it had been all bad, that would have been simple but it was a lovely hotel with a certain issues. On the plus side, the house was lovely, the setting fabulous and the food delicious. On the minus side, we were made to... More

I spent one night in Greshornish House with my girlfriend after a 10 days trip in Scotland. During previous days we always found very nice and gentle people. In Greshornish the situation suddenly changed after a very simple request. I report here what is written in the "welcome book": "Breakfast - Served between 8:30 and 9:30 daily in the Conservatory.... We stayed there for two night over easter. The room (I think it was called Islay) was brilliant, very large and with an amazing view. I'm aware that other rooms may be different. The staff (actually a couple that run the place by themselves) was extremely friendly and welcoming. As for the food: the breakfast was very good, but the... More

It’s a lovely country house hotel which you can easily settle in to. Neil made us all feel very welcome including the dogs. The first night we had drinks on the comfy seats by the bar and chatted before we went through for dinner. The meal was excellent with great service. The breakfast was very good with everything you would... More

After spending two nights at the horrific Stonefield Castle Hotel my wife and I saw the balance restored with two nights at the beautiful, well run and stunningly located Greshornish House on Skye. Neil and Rosemary are delightful people who put their heart and soul into providing a fantastic product and great service. The food was sublime and the room... More
