My husband and 2 children stayed in Santa Monica for 3 nights, half board. The hotel is located in an excellent position, close to the beach, shops and bus stops for all tours. On arrival we were given a room in the 6th floor, the lift only goes up the the 5th floor then we had to walk all the way up to the 6h floor with heavy bags. There was blood drops in one of the beds, the safe was inside a cupboard high up, we could not reach it. The room... more

We stayed here recently during Easter as a break for a few days by the beach. First of all, the hotel is in an excellent position for the beach, shops, restaurants etc - all within 5 minutes walk, so no complaints there. We have just returned from a 1 week stay at the Santa Monica, having booked a last minute deal. I was impressed with the reception area on arrival. There were several issues with this hotel.When my girlfriend & I checked in the staff seemed to ignore us completely and deal with the Spanish guests first.When sunbathing near the pool all you could here was a single Spanish cd playing over & over again.This became very annoying.It was very loud so you could'nt just relax or read a book.We... more
