We chose Les Volets Bleus because of its proximity to the Vimy Memorial and other WW I sites near Arras, but we would return for the exceptional hospitality of Philippe and Pat. Les Volets Bleus is, indeed, a Bed and Breakfast, and the breakfast is outstanding. Philippe sets out an excellent buffet, which he takes care to "introduce"; in our... More

We had a great overnight here during a trip in September. Found on the web, we realised that evening meals at Les Volets Bleus were something of a specialty but still it was a pleasant surprise to have quite such delicious food so well prepared and presented. Breakfast was a wonderful spread too. The house is lovely and filled with... More

As many have already included in their reviews, Phillipe and Patricia were amazing hosts. I booked this last minute based on reviews and they couldn't do enough to accommodate. Patricia even collected me from the train station, having advised me of the train timetable schedule and where she would be waiting for me. They were more than happy to drop... More

This B&B is a Gem. Clean and beautiful surroundings. The Patron Philippe couldn't do enough for us. He helped us with getting around Arras and getting to Paris on the Bullet Train. Dinner was First Class. The gourmet meal can not be overstated on how well prepared it was. The food and Wine just kept coming. There are four of... More

Already for the second time at this place. Also this time it was wonderful. A warm welcome, very good service and excellent food. Both the breakfast and the dinner consist of local dishes/ingredients and are very well prepared by Philippe. And for golfers the Arras Golf course is just around the corner.

For my birthday I wanted to visit the Arras area of France, and found Les Volets on Tripadvisor. All the reviews were positive, so I booked us in for the weekend, This is a wonderful place to stay, Philippe, the Patron was very welcoming and the evening meals we had were superb and served with some wonderful wine, Philippe's cooking... We stayed here as part of our WW1 Battlefields trip and found it to be truly delightful in every way. Monsiuer le Patron certainly knows how to cook an evening meal and the breakfasts were fantastic - all fresh, local and home made produce. On our first evening we ate at the nearby Golf Club restaurant - excellent, if a... More

Welcoming and relaxing, the food, with locally sourced ingredients, is wonderful (even allowing for French cuisine being special). The owner takes a pride in all he does and so he should. Our first night in France was a hard act to follow. We would recommend this to anyone.

Thank you very much to Philippe for his warm hospitality and wonderful food, even after our delay on the ferry which saw us arriving after 22:00! The excellent directions were most welcome as the B&B is not so easy to find..in the dark.. We particularly enjoyed the local produce (including the smoked fish and Philippe's own vegetables), and had a... More

This was our first night in the Somme region as we went to visit several of the First World War cemeteries. We cannot speak too highly of the lovely accommodation and the friendly welcome we received. The evening meal that Philippe prepared was a culinary experience in itself and the breakfast choice wide-ranging. Our only regret: that we weren't able... More
