The prices aree worth paying that little extra fro this wee gem of a hotel. The service was excellent the rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy and the communal areas were very relaxing. The food at breakfast was varied and of good quality, and the evening meals were very tasty, again with good quality ingredients. I would happily go back... more

I'd read a lot about The Colonsay and so had quite high expectations. The situation is wonderful, the staff are helpful but the hotel lacks personality and the food was very very disappointing. I am not sure I would go again to the hotel but I would go back to the island. more

I knew it was going to be a special island when dolphins swam alongside the ferry as we approached the island in the early evening sunshine. No gripes at all here. location excellent- overall staff very helpful food was good but not great. bar menu is the same as the restaurant- this should be changed. continental breakfast choice limited , cooked breakfast should be included for the price they charge for the room.
