We came here last week for one night and found it interesting, coming from Europe we're used to old buildings etc, however we could see how this nice old place could do with an injection to give the atosphere a real boost........may be another big block buster film or something like that! This place has heart which needs boosting, we... More

On my way to Big Ben National Park I tried to stay in Presidio and that was a mistake. Next time I stay in Marfa in this beautiful little hotel. The rooms are comfortable with charming tile. It is very silent at night and I had a street window. The TV. was small and I did not turn it on.... More

You can't beat the convenience of this hotel if you're staying in Marfa. It's easy to find, easy to park, no line at check in or check out (at least that was true for me in January). My room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was a little small but I'm not complaining (though my spouse would have). No elevator,... More

We were in Marfa for a wedding and the staid at The Paisano for the weekend. WE had a room over looking the courtyard, with a small porch balcony. Nice rooms, good amenities, and some cool history. More

We spent one night in The Hotel Paisano on a trip through Big Bend country. While we enjoyed seeing the hotel, I doubt if we will ever detour to stay there again. The room was comfortable enough and it was quiet. The bath was small and had no counter area, but it's a historic property and that is to be... More

Spent one night in the James Dean room on our way home to Houston. Loved the photos of the "Giant" cast. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Really had the feel of the Thirties. Very pleasant sitting in the courtyard, sipping margaritas before dinner. Will be back next year! More

Stayed two nights on recent trip to Marfa. Selected mostly for the grandeur pictured and the nostalgia for the era of hotels opened before asto turf became a poolside staple. The grand tiled lobby, the comfortable bed and lovely mezzanine courtyard with fireplace were only slightly tarnished by water fixtures that did not work, heater that required masters degree in... We spent Thanksgiving at the Hotel Paisano. We reserved the $99 room for two adults, but our 22 y.o. daughter then joined us. We were promised a rollaway bed after some drama, and then arrived to find none. But Lupita was a true problem-solver and got us one -- great work! The rooms in this price range seemed to vary... There really aren't that many options in Marfa, but this was fine. The room was a bit small and had few amenities, but for $99/night, it was fine. The public areas of the hotel have been restored nicely - wish the rooms matched. Walking distance to restaurants, Food Shark, galleries. More

Best part of the experience was their effort to make a bad stay less expensive. Rooms tired, bad plumbing, rough linens and unfriendly staff. Overpriced! $129 on a Sunday night for their cheapest room. More
