The decor of cabin rental was old-style, not exactly lively. Seems like furniture had not been replaced in a long time. The only cool thing are natural landscaping and the deer, they fed right out of out hands. There is a nice kitchenette but we did not have pots and pans. Ok, it could use some remodeling to make the... More

This is a convenient locale near Austin. The drive is hilly and scenic. There is a pool, shuffleboard and tennis court. Deer are fascinating to watch. Our unit was clean and we liked the decor. Texas rustic! Beds were comfortable, not deluxe. Everything appeared updated except bathroom fixtures. They were probably from the 60's but they worked just fine and... More

Although I am usually very good about reading and paying attention to reviews, my husband and I had visited Lago Vista several years ago with a bonus week and thought we were returning to the same resort. We trade with TP now and must have been with RCI when we traded before. The previous resort was very nice--this one was... More

Booked through one of RCI's excess inventory programs. Pay careful attention to the directions. Download street level map. Painless check-in with friendly helpful staff. Parking close to one story multi unit buildings (4-6 per building). Older units and some deferred maintainance. They appear to be doing a good job of prioritizing repairs. Everything in the unit worked and not too... More

Clean, but terribly outdated. Aside from some newer appliances, not updated in years. Huge mirrors on walls. Bathroom: old, stained yellow fiberglass sink, corroded faucets, missing parts, and linoleum pulling away from the tub. Ceramic tiles cracked, and grout had been poorly repaired. Mold around the tub. Toilet seat had paint worn off. No place in master bedroom to put... More

i had some concerns after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and talked to the person at the desk about when the place was last updated. They lied. This place looks like it hasn't been painted in years and decor (other than the dining/ living area which is on the pictures), hasn't been updated since the 70's. This place should be... More

So I read some reviews, but booked anyway. Huge mistake. Luckily, I live in Austin and was just hoping for a lazy getaway. The word "resort" applies loosely here! This us No Resort! It felt cheap and I didn't even last one night! I stayed a few hours and then headed home. Don't book here!!!! More

If you enjoy staying at properties built in the stone age and which have not been updated or maintained since, then possibly this is for you...of all the places we have exchanged our week for, this is the worst maintained, broken down, extremely dated place we've ever stayed at. The staff were abrupt and largely indifferent and despite what their... More

This resort is(and should be) under change with a new management company. Had a lot of maint. problems with the unit we were assigned,so we were moved to a newer unit. The second unit was O.K., but the last day we saw a lot of ants in the condo. Deer were everywhere & they would sometimes eat out of your... More
