We just returned from a trip to Neal's Lodges and had am amazing family vacation. First off the staff was helpful and extremely friendly. They had staff on golf carts picking people up from the water access and taking them to the store. An employee took us down to the river with our tubes and all even though that was... More

We just returned from Neal's, where we chose to have our annual church family gathering. We occupied 7 cabins, for a total of 43 people, 28 of whom were under the age of 12. We had a ball. The gang at Neal's was more ham accommodating. He cabins are spacious, and while it wasn't luxury, it was family fun. He... More

Neal's Lodges was probably my favourite location on a 2 week visit to Texas from Britain. The cabins spread over many acres, hidden amongst the trees and shrubs are well spaced, roomy and quiet. The hillside walks amongst wild vegetation are a magnet for birdwatchers and birds alike. The scenery along the river bank was spectacular and it was clear... More

We had a great time at Neals Lodges! Even with all the rain on Friday and Saturday, a great time was had by all. After the rain, we went fishing and caught some trout. We also got to see lots of cool birds in their many bird areas, too! We even saw a Golden Cheek Warbler (I think that's what... More

We have stayed at Neal's every Thanksgiving for 16 years. It is everything we want: friendly, casual, not too expensive, not "made over", not "sanitized" (well it is "sanitary") but... this place is 100 percent REAL. I learned about it from a book that listed "Five Best Places in Texas" and the other four all cost upwards of $500 a... More

A group of my friends and I have had the pleasure of staying at one of the new proprieties that Neal's features. Serendipity Lodge was perfect for our large group of 12 ladies. When we weren't walking around the area or down at Neal's swimming hole, we were playing games at the large dining table or swimming in the private... More

My wife and I stayed here during the Veteran's Day Motorcycle Rally in Cabin #26. The price of the Cabin was high considering it was off-season, but was most likely jacked up for the Rally. In a word, the cabin was not worth half what they were charging for it. The mattresses are old and worn out. The bed frames... More

I was here for a friend's wedding. first of all, I have to say that the place is family owned and run. consequently, they put their hearts into this place and it shows. The beer was cheap at night and it was fun hanging out around the swimming hole. However, I will have to caution that this is a place... More
