Rented and towed a 31 ft trailer for the first time ever and stayed at Lazy R&R since it's close to our daughter and son-in-law. Couldn't have found a more laid back and relaxing place if we tried. The folks are super nice and most accomodating. Looking forward to future stays with more time to explore the river cove access.

We enjoyed our stay..it's not a 5 star resort but a comfortable, nice place..cabins are small and rustic and not in the best shape but accommodating and convenient..we stayed in cabin 6 and have requested the same cabin again this year..the staff is friendly and helpful..and the deer that are fed daily will walk right up to ur cabin..we'll return... We enjoyed our stay in the off-season for the primitive camping on Friday the 13th (04/13/2012). What a great day to camp! The grass was mowed down in enough areas to have a fair pick of spots and the next day they were mowing down more. Buddy, a very playful and large dog, was bounding around, making sure other camp... I found this campground to be clean, peaceful, remote, well run, and a great value! I highly recommend this place!

I rented a cabin by myself as a getaway at the end of 2009 and again last weekend. I was surrounded by trees, it was peaceful, and you cannot beat the price. I enjoyed the tranquility and simplicity and there was internet connection. Rick, the person who is most likely to answer when you call, has always been kind to... More

We rented a cabin and was very relaxing. Beautiful place close to water and bluebonnets blooming with numerous other wildflowers. I would recommend it!

This is my 2nd time around with my family, and san antonio is very hot this time of year but we loved visiting the lodge and cabins, with canyon lake so nearby to cool off in. We hit up the lake twice, did some fishing, bike riding and relaxing! We had the place to ourselves, very quite and peaceful and... More

This was my first time going camping. I planned it as a surprise for my fiance who loves the outdoors. When we first pulled up I was a little taken back by the appearance - lots of RV's that looked like permanent dwellings, and the check in station was a stand with Christmas lights that said "register here". I was... More

This is the most secluded place around the lake or on the Guadalupe river. Too many deer & kids running around though this last time July 4th but at least they were having a ball too. Now they have peacocks & a paddle boat with the canoes. Our cabin had new furniture & will be back again.
