Just outside Blanco on the Guadelupe River, this place offers cabins beside an RV park. Large trees provide shade and our back porch held rockers for a relaxing spot watching the river. The cabin was simple but comfortable, with microwave, small fridge, coffeepot, ceiling fan and small bathroom. There is a pavilion where our group arranged a BBQ dinner and... More

We stayed there last weekend and loved it. The grounds are full of flowers and the cabins are very accomodating and comfortable. We loved relaxing on the back porch and having a glass of wine with our neighbors. A great place if you want to get away for the phone, computer and TV.

Just setting a reservation with this place was such a hassle. I should have stopped there. The area is very nice but, the cottages are old and out of date and a little overpriced for what you get. Dont spend your precious time hereQ

I just needed to get away, and I got so much more. The cabin was lovely, with an excellent porch view of the river and the night sky. Downtown Blanco is just about half a mile away, and I had an excellent dinner at the Red Bud. After a relaxing jacuzzi bath in my little cabin I went outside and... More

We booked and paid for a cabin for two nights. We were late arriving and the owner had rented our cabin to another couple who showed up late and wanted a cabin. There were no other cabins available. Her solution was to cancel and refund another party her money for the second night. The place is up for sale and... More

Cabins were nice and relaxing. I was a little disappointed that the river was completely dried up and no one told us that before we went. Also, the place seemed a little run down. The fire pit in the pavilion had trash in it, mini golf course had grass growing on the green. The tvs are very small and outdated.... More

We did a bicycle tour of Texas Hill Country in April (with Timberline) and stayed one night at Blanco Settlement. The cabins were lovely - nicely appointed, spacious and clean, with a little back porch overlooking the river. The hostess left us freshly baked muffins and fruit salad (in the small refrigerator in the room), along with juice and cold... More

My adult daughter & I had a relaxing mother/daughter weekend in the hill country and chose Blanco Settlement (www.blancosettlement.com) as our home base. There are an unscale gift shop as well as RV hookups on-site. There are nine cabins with unobstructed views of the Blanco River. Seven cabins have one queen-size bed ($105) and the other two cabins have 2... More
