Starting from Cardiff we headed to Swansea on the Friday morning & spent an hour or so at the Dylan Thomas museum on the mariner; it's a well put together exhibition providing an accessible insight into his life & work. There is also an excellent collection of modern welsh literature at the shop if you want to pick up a... More

We have just returned from a peaceful and quiet weekend in Laugharne having spent 1 night at Sea View, wishing we could have stayed longer. With a fabulous view from our room, walking distance to a few pubs and restaurant, Sea View offers a great location and a home from home atmosphere - a great place to recharge your batteries!... Just spent 2 nights at the Seaview Hotel whilst attending the Laugharne Festival. From start to finish the hospitality from Susi who runs the hotel and works tiressly was second to none. Our stay at the hotel was excellent and the view of the sea from our room was excellent. This is a small intimate hotel and we especially enjoyed... More

Many thanks for your lovely review, Adrian. It was really enjoyable having you and your wife to stay and I look forward to seeing you again before too long. It's been very dull here without you! More

My girlfriend surprised me awith a stay here for my birthday. It was lovely. Charmingly boutique without ostentation. Excellent food, warm welcome. The TV didn't work but when told staff swapped the set immediately. We had the top floor and the view over the village to the bay was a great bonus!

Pre booked one nights stay and evening meal in restaurant, myself, husband, son and daughter-in-law( Arrived at hotel to find notice saying it was closed, owners didn't have the common courtesy to let us know. Found out from local resident that the chef had left the previous week so the owner's had plenty of time to inform us our booking... More

Speaking as the new manager of this establishment, I am very sorry to read about your wasted trip to Seaview. As explained in my response to the similar review just below yours, upon taking over the business after the sudden departure of the previous management team, we were initially unable to get into the online diary system to access contact... I booked to stay there last night (Saturday 18th February) as a Valentines surprise for my terminally ill girlfriend as a final special night away together. I called them last monday (13th February) to confirm and was given some advice about a restaurant to book for dinner but nothing else was mentioned. After driving and hour and a half to... More

I was very sad to find this review about our establishment. I clearly remember your arrival and I hoped I had demonstrated how unhappy I was to have to turn you away. As I attempted to explain at the time, I shall now be running the new management team at Seaview, the previous incumbent having decided to leave a couple... More

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable break. The Seaview was friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The stunning views and the whole ambience of this historic house are a delight. We stayed for two nights, including St Valentine's Day where a nice touch was the complimentary glass of champagne. The food and service throughout our stay was excellent. Well... More

Stopped for one night (wife birthday) and booked at short notice. Excellent choice - little tricky to locate, but a lovely place and the rooms all have a lovely view over the estuary. Easy to walk to all the interesting places in Laugharne (all Dylan Thomas related or the castle) and there are other places to eat in the town... More
