Stayed (again) for our annual few days to join in the great atmosphere of this part of the country, especially as the Wales v England 6 Nations Match was enjoyed by a host of very friendly locals, followed by musical entertainment in the evening. The pub's wooden floor has bee revealed, Matty the dog was great company and doesn't smell.... More

I have stayed at the Royal George Solva many times and will continue to stay there when in Solva. The Landlord is a must see and one of the most jovial characters around. The accommodation is first class as is the service. The staff and the locals are great people.I have always had a warm welcome there. The food is... More

This hotel is memorable for being the worst stay of a six day walking trip! On a cool and wet day the hotel did nothing to warm up either our spirits or our bodies! Breakfast was appalling. Stale white bread - no other available, stale cereals, and a flabby bacon sandwich cooked by a disinterested staff member who we could... More

A cold unwelcoming place to stay. Our room was very cold and when asked for some heating our request was ignored. The tables were dirty and sticky. The carpet was dirty and a smelly dog begged at our breakfast table. The breakfast was appalling and served by a very uninterested member of staff. The landlord couldn't care less and didn't... More

A friendly little oub with rooms. Booked in with 3 friends for one night by our travel company as we walked the coastal path. A simple basic B and B at the top of the hill a short walk up the hill out of Solva and a great location for the coastal path. Comfortable and warm. The 4 of us... More

Stayed for just one night at The Royal George whilst on business in the area. The Goerge is a old in with friendly locals and a a really nice vibe. We arrived to a roaring log fire with a lovely friendly dog curled up in front of it. That was nice as we were missing our dog. The landlod Barry... More

Second vist and time just disappears. Great landlord, nothing too much trouble. Wonderful view from the main rooms and letting rooms - it's tomorrow today weather wise. Lots to see, lots to do. Great central point to enjoy your time from

a lovely pub with great views. Prices are nice and cheap aswell and some good food. For those of you looking for an entertaining day out however, seek alternatives. The customer services manager has sadly let standards slide and other than the very professionally run sunday night quiz there is very little in the form of entertainment. I think he... More

I stayed at the Royal George in Oct 2011 with my wife and young daughter (4 months old) for a weekend. We loved it. Its a down-to-earth pub with a really friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Our room was clean and fresh, and it had great views of Solva bay. We had an adjoining bathroom - but it was ours... More
