Food here is excellent, the bar is tiny but well stocked with a good real ale, wine and spirits. Run by wonderful characters with good taste. Incredible views over the bay. Don't expect hotel chain imperfection - its well lived in, no nonsense but extremely comfortable, tasteful and unusual. Not cheap - the view, food and atmosphere makes it worth... More

Having moved to Pembrokeshire a little over 2 years ago I was captured by the beauty of the place, and upon being introduced to the unique and admittedly quirky Druidstone I immediately fell in love. I can understand the need for crispy white towels and smarmy receptionists who seem only too happy to provide an extra sachet of deluxe conditioner,... More

If like me you can remember coal fires in railway waiting rooms and would half fancy going through the wall onto platform two and three quarters with Harry Potter to another world , I can recommend: The Druidstone . There is a wizard in the kitchen who on my arrival ran out of the kitchen singing the delights of rice... More

We stayed in a cottage a mile up the road over half-term and ate here for one lunch and two evening meals in the downstairs bar. The party consisted of 2 adults, a 7 year-old and and a sometimes damp and slightly whiffy Golden Retriever. We could not have found a more relaxing and comfortable environment. During our visits we... More

I recently held my wedding reception at the Druidstone Hotel in Pembrokeshire. Myself, my husband and all of our guests have commented on the brilliant, welcoming staff and fantastic food and service. I honestly couldn't have wished for a better day. Jane and Angus (the owners) did everything they could to make the day as I had wished ( I... More

It was nearly 18 years ago when as a youngish 'courting' couple we were recommended by friends to try the Druidstone. We arrived on a bleak grey autumn day and duly climbed over walking boots and wellies to reach the reception desk. Shown to our room (keyless) we noticed that the rain was attacking the top of our chest of... More

It's such a shame that this hotel is so poorly maintained and neglectfully managed. The location is stunning - and it does indeed have a charming, quirky and bohemian character. But the thoughtless and unreliable service, patchy food and the shoddy maintenance really do spoil the experience. They clearly have a faithful clientele who are prepared to put up with... More

In summary, the Druidstone is cold and unwelcoming. A smell of dogs pervades the whole place. It’s not chic - it’s tired, extremely scruffy, it's pricey and it’s lazy. I was interested to note that there are 9 'five star' reviews of the Druidstone on the Trip Advisor site. Of those, 5 are from people who have not submitted any... More

We have been going to The Dru for many years and it's simply great. Good wholesome food, and a cosy bar where you can shelter from Atlantic storms while watching the frothing sea below, or sit on the cliff-top deck watching the sun set over St David's and St Brides Bay. Truly magical, but in no way precious. All ages-families,... More

Firstly just to say upfront that we didn't stay here but we went for a lunch here on our way back from a lovely weekend away in Pembrokeshire. We were also taking a look with a view to staying here the next time we came because we had been told the hotel was 'quirky'and informal. This review then cannot speak... More
