Have you seen Three in a Bed, where B&B owners spend time in other peoples B&B and then compare notes? If not it's good for a laugh, if you have then this is one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in and probably wouldn't be allowed onto the program as they provide 4* service at 2* prices. Yes you... The caring and attentive hosts ensured that my husband, son and I had a most enjoyable three night stay at Plas Efenechtyd with their warmest of welcomes and lovely home-made breakfasts in a homely setting.. Everything was spick and span and a good night's sleep was assured. More

Beautiful house tucked away in the lanes near Ruthin. Warm welcome and excellent breakfast from David and Marilyn. And they even sent on some stuff I had left behind! Highly recommended More

A delightful bed and breakfast, hidden away in a narrow country lane with hedges as high as any in Devon. We arrived in the dark on a cold November evening but were warmed by the welcome from David and Marilyn and spent a pleasant half hour with them at the dining room table over a cup of tea. They are... More

We stayed there for three nights at the end of September. This was our first trip to Wales and I highly recommend this excellent B&B and a trip to the area. The breakfast is very good and what a treat to meet the lovely hens that provided the eggs. The rooms are beautiful. This was our first stop in our... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in early august and had a most enjoyable stay. It is an old farmhouse style house in a lovely garden setting and we enjoyed using the garden for a late afternoon glass of wine. Marilyn and Dave were most helpful advising about local activities, proving maps and, in particular, directing us to the National... More

An excellent B & B. Lovely rooms, outstanding breakfast, and friendly and supportive hosts. The location is off the beaten track, down and up some classic country lanes, but worth the drive. More

I stayed at Plas Efenechtyd when visiting north Wales to climb Snowdon, and I couldn't have wished for better accommodation. The cosy farmhouse is just outside the market town of Ruthin yet you feel like you're a million miles from anywhere - it's so peaceful and the mountain views are amazing. Dave and Marilyn are friendly and full of knowledge... More

Dave and Marilyn offer you a very warm welcome to their beautiful B&B which is in a peaceful out of town location in a little known beauty spot in North Wales. The room was extremely comfortable and had a homely feel. Their delicious homemade fishcakes, bread and jams and freshly laid eggs from their adorable hens only confirmed this as... More

My husband and I stayed at Plas Efenechtyd for two nights during a three week vacation in the UK. This definitely ranked at the top of the list of our lodging during the trip! Dave and Marilyn are lovely hosts and will seemingly do anything to accommodate their guests. Marilyn even did a load of laundry for us (not sure... More
