This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel. Our room was spotless and very well appointed. Breakfast, which was served in a very pleasant room with views of the bay and castle, was accompanied by an impressive selection of fruits and cereals. Clyn-y-Coed obviously means much more than just a business to Julie and her colleagues. Much thought has been... More

On a recent trip round Wales, we stayed at this hotel in a fabulous first floor room with a wonderful view. From the moment we arrived and were given tea in the garden everything was perfect. We just wish we had longer to stay as all restaurants we visited in Criccieth were outstanding and within easy walking distance too. More

I stayed here for just one night during a recent business trip. I found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. It's in a great location with fantastic views out over the bay and also over to Criccieth Castle. It has a small car park and a garden at the front of the hotel which must be a great... More

Julie and her staff were most welcoming, helping with luggage, and providing a welcome cup of tea on arrival and suggestions for an evening meal in the town. The breakfasts were great, served quite quickly and efficiently. The room was spotlessly clean, and very well appointed.with wonderful water views. The car park was adequate, and easy to access. Our only... More

We stayed here for a week in September and couldn't fault it. The front room with sea views was not available but when we got there we were pleased we had the back room, a lovely large family room with separate sitting area. Julie is the perfect hostess, even treating us to tea and cake when we came back from... More

Very comfortable, very pleasant stay.Julie, the owner,is a warm, friendly lady, with a delightful pair of young children. We were offered tea in the garden immediately upon our arrival, with a fine view over the coast and garden.Only miniscule criticism-and I mean "miniscule"!-is that any tea served, was a trifle on the weak side....but some people may well prefer it that way!I think that if the teaspoon... I stayed here 2 nights with my best friend, to go for walks and enjoy tea & cakes. and get away from it all. Owner Julie was very welcoming as soon as we arrived, and served us tea which we drank on the terrace in front of the house, with views to the castle and the cliffs to the other... More

An excellent choice! We got a friendly welcome, great breakfasts and comfortable rooms. Super view overlooking Criccieth Castle. Ideally placed for accessing the Steam Railways at Portmadog and a much nicer place to stay. Also an ideal start point to tour the Peninsula - good advice given by our host with maps and suggestions. Excellent restaurants in the town for... More

Nice little Hotel at the edge of Criccieth and close to the beach. Charming rooms fitted out with nice decorative elements to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Housekeeping and service was at its best - we enjoyed our stay every single day. The boys just loved it. Klaus, Angelica and the boys More

Extremely comfortable room overlooking the sea with a view of the castle to enhance the experience. An eye for detail on the 'little things' was superb. Excellent array of books on local area and maps available to enable you to plan the days activities to perfection. Pleasant staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive (lovely coffee... More
