Our four night stay at the Glyn-y-Coed started with a welcoming pot of tea in the cosy lounge area. Julie, the owner, was happy to chat with us and immediately made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the family room at the rear of the property. This was a very quiet room with plenty of space to relax in... more

Just come back from a 2 night stay in Criccieth at the Glyn Y Coed. This is a nice B&B, with off street parking, a friendly wellcome, clean rooms, and a good full english breakfast. The view is great, looking over the beach and bay. It's a flat 2 minute walk to the nearest restaurent and the centre of Criccieth,... more

we had a lovely 3 days in criccieth. Great service & very professionally (but in a friendly way) run - this B&B was very welcoming and we had the family room which thoughtfully includes a small TV, VCR & sofa to give both the children some extra space & us a place to unwind when they were in bed. We... more

This was an excellent hotel which deserves its very good reviews. Rooms are tastefully furnished and a good size. The owner is friendly and helpful but everything is also very well-organised. It feels very luxurious even thought the rates are very reasonable. The only down side is that if you have a front room you can hear the traffic as... more

Wonderful B&B. The breakfasts were great. Our table was reserved for us each morning. We saw the Northwest portion of Wales from here. My husband golfed twice. Once at the Criccieth Golf Course and once at Royal St. David's Golf Course. We toured three castles, a woolen works, a copper mine, and saw beautiful scenery. The rooms were facing Criccieth... more

We recently stayed for a long weekend at Glyn Y Coed. We made a last minute reservation and Julie went out of her way to accommodate us. We were greeted warmly with a pot of tea and shown to our clean quiet room. We particularly enjoyed the lovely home cooked Welsh breakfast every morning. Clearly Julie loves her job, she... more

I did not stay at this hotel. I had a change of plans and called 24 hours before my arrival. I had given my credit card number to hold the room, with the understanding that it was 'in case I did not show up'. In my mind, 24-hour notice is a far cry from not showing up. But, Glyn-y-Coed still... more

I stayed at the Glyn Y Coed hotel last week and I was absolutely bowled over by the hospitality and the sheer luxury of the place. I was given a tray of piping hot tea when I arrived . I enjoyed this on the patio which is enhanced by a small but very ornate garden ( recently featured in Irish... more

We have just returned from a two-night stay at the Glyn Y Coed hotel, and enjoyed every minute - we wish we could have stayed another night! The hotel is very well furnished, and tastefully decorated; the owners are very friendly, and are willing to answer any queries about the hotel, or Criccieth. When ringing up to book the room,... more

I agree with the previous reviewer- I have stayed in Criccieth many times. Although I regularly e-mail Glyn- y -coed, I never get a reply. We have stayed there before (I reserved by phone)but not recently. It is a reasonable b&b - nothing special really. I thought it was over priced. A better bet is the Glan-y-mor. which I will... more
