My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away for her birthday in November 2011. The location was perfect for us as it was close to Porthmadog where we spent quite a lot of time. Also nearby was Portmeirion as well as the beautiful scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. The hotel owners and their staff were friendly and... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in July. We really didn't know what to expect, but the price was right, as was the location, and we figured we'd give it a try. We had a very pleasant stay. It's clearly a family run hotel... and that can be both good and bad. We got no help with the... More

On the first night we chose from the specials board and had local oysters for starters and Conwy grey mullet for the main course. Both were delicious.Service was friendly and well paced. We thoroughly... More

Stayed here for one night while on a cycling trip in Wales with 6 others. The family run hotel is very comfortable and well run. Rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant - there were 7 clean plates & bowls at the end of each course. Decent wine list as well. Manager was very... More

Arrived on a Tuesday evening with my Wife, at 6.45 and there was one other family dining. when we asked if we could eat and was told that there was no tables available at all this evening! Iit seems odd that although at least a dozen empty tables were evident that they couldn't accommodate a couple. It seems that they... More

I took my elderly parents to Y Branwen for an evening meal on Saturday 9th October. We have been there on many occasions over recent years and have always been very impressed. Unfortunately since the recent change of management things have gone downhill. The evening started poorly while we were sitting in the bar area waiting to be shown to... More
