We stayed here at the weekend for 1 night, a last minute stay after a day out in the gloomy weather...!! We weren't here long enough to get to know the hosts, but the lady of the house was very nice and the ladies in the breakfast room very helpful. It was comfortable and warm, and the breakfast very nice,... More

Thank you for writing a fair review. The back room is very popular with motorcyclists as the bike is just outside the door and very convenient. Our waitressed appreciated your comments, as did the chef. Because it is so popular it is difficult to find time to 'touch up' the decor, but we will make an effort soon. We are... More

Thank you for taking the trouble to write the review - especially in the mioddle of the Christmas Card season!! We do wish we could control the weather, but, we do the best we can by providing a local forecast at breakfast every day. More

We returned to the Whitehall for a week's holiday at the end of September, when we were blessed with lots of sunshine and very high temperatures. Although our stay, no doubt, was enhanced by the weather, Maria and Tony were again fantastic hosts - Maria even prepared our tray of pre-dinner drinks (2 G&T's and a Stella) for us to... More

My wife and I stayed here on 4th and 5th June for B&B. The hotel is spotless and our room(no3) was well equiped with everything that we needed. There is plenty of drawer space and lots of hangers in the wardrobe. Two comfortable chairs were positioned to allow us enjoy the sea view. The bathroom contains a shower ,sink and... More

Maria and Tony provided an excellent breakfast. The room on the front had a lovely view, but was cramped for space and was in need of some redecoration.

Maria and Tony were excellent hosts, who served hearty breakfasts and superb evening meals to complete the whole friendly experience of our 5 day break. The location was fabulous - the view from our panoramic bedroom window was breathtaking overlooking the bay. We rate this hotel/guest house most highly - friendly atmosphere, great view, fabulous food and spotlessly clean. Drinks... More

Thank you for your positive comments - Maria and I appreciate that you took the time! We particularly liked the fact that you mentioned the reasonable prices of beer and wine. Our licence fees have increased significantly to such a point that we wonder whether it is worth stocking. However, many guests like a drink on the patio and a... More

Found this little B&B near my mother in laws nursing home. It sounded perfect for my travel. I arrived to a quaint little B&B hotel overlooking the water. it is on a lovely Promenade where people are walking and running and walking their pets. I arrived and was taken to a clean little room with my own bathroom. In the... More

My wife and I had our best Christmas yet in the company of mine hosts Tony and Maria and a small band of guests, the weather was snowy but the sun was bright in the sky, and the whole experience was magical. Thanks Whitehall, and all the other guests. Woodleywags.
