We stayed here because we found an excellent coupon in one of the traveler mags. The room was clean. You could tell that it was an older hotel but they were remodeling and replacing the carpet. We didn't do the breakfast as there wasn't much to it. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

First there was remodeling to wade through which is understandable but price should have been adjusted to compensate. The staff were friendly enough, but not at all knowlegable about thier area at all. We were there for 8 days and got a call the 2nd day(early) that we were being moved due to construction after we had unpacked everything, not fun. Staff were great. Building and room were average - perhaps a bit overpriced for what you get. First room we were offered had really bad smell - we were moved without any hassle. Neighborhood was dirty and pretty sketchy. I only walked around a block or two because I had a big black dog with me - otherwise no.

This hotel wasn't bad but it leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you check out and realize they charge you $1.50 per day for the safe/warranty. I have never used a hotel safe in all the years that I have been traveling...why on earth should I be charged for one? At least have the decency to mention it... More
