We stayed just the one night and it was an absolute pleasure. The location is amazing as it is on the coast of the loch, a perfect place to sit and read the Sunday papers with a few drinks from the local Spar. We stayed in room #5 so had a great view, especially since we brought the sun with... More

We stopped off here on our way to Skye and it could not have been a better start to our holiday. Meals (we had dinner and breakfast) and rooms were excellent and very good value for money, while Rob and his staff could not have been more welcoming. Rob even booked our ferry from Mallaig for us. Can't recommend highly... More

We just stayed just one night at the Old Library Lodge and Restaurant. Robert is an excellent host, our room was very clean and comfortable with a view of the sea. All the staff were extremely warm and friendly. The evening meal was very good serving the best Cullen Skink I've ever eaten. Breakfast was equally good. We loved the... More

In fact he cooks almost as well as he talks! Recently spent the weekend in The Library where Robert was the perfect host, keeping an immaculate kitchen and suite of rooms, not to mention entertaining stories from his youth. Sadly we missed his impromptu impersonation of Ziggy Stadust, but we did hear his tape (on sale with proceeds going to... More

Called here for a meal whilst on a camping holiday up the road, very warm and friendly reception, and the meal was wonderful! Enjoyed every bit! Will certainly be coming here again when we're anywhere nearby.

I stayed here in May 2013 with a group of friends on our way to a party on Eigg. Robert and his team looked after us so well, I wondered why we were bothering to cross the water. The rooms are very comfortable. You either get a sea view (stunning) or a garden view (private, sunny, azaleas) with your own... More

We came to Arisaig for a family wedding last weekend. We stayed for three nights and had a lovely room behind the restaurant with its own outside sitting area. Nothing was too much trouble. Robert booked us on a boat trip to Muck at the last minute and we had a superb day sailing there and back. We ate in... More

We came from London to stay for a wedding in the little town of Arisaig. We were warmly greeted by our host Robert who was charming and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Our sea view bedroom with ensuite shower was a delight. The dinner and breakfasts were superb. What a lucky find! Book now!

We were a party of 10 staying here on the May bank holiday weekend of the 25th & 26th for a friends birthday. The welcome from Robert was warm, friendly & cheerful. Robert made fantastic food from the full Scottish breakfast to a great choice of lunches & evening meals. All the staff were cheerful and all you had to... More

We were staying at the Arisaig Hotel where the menu was unappealing and the bar full of screaming children. So glad that we went down the road and had a delightful meal of local seafood in this charming restaurant. The atmosphere was great, service was warm and friendly, the food was local, delicious and very nicely presented.
