My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in September. We truly feel we found heaven on earth. When we arrived we were shown around the lighthouse and told about surrounding walks etc. We stayed in the Firth of Cromarty room which, in my opinion, is the best room. It has a private balcony and views to both the countryside... more

We stayed for a week in October. The food was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and provide great service. We stayed in the main building and while the rooms are clean and comfortable they aren’t huge. However I think this is an inevitable consequence of the buildings original purpose. I can’t imagine exactly what people who have complained... more

I didnt know what to expect, but was not disappointed when we arrived. The reception we got was fantastic. We stayed in one of the new suites - WOW - it was wonderful. Right on the edge of the cliffs, which was made all the more good by the fantastic storms we had. The hotel has a feel of originality... more

We spent a lovely relaxing 3 night stay at the Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel in early August. A right turn on exit from the Stena Line terminal brought us through Stranraer and out towards the sleepy village of Kirkcolm on the western shore of Loch Ryan. Following the winding road beyond the village, and following our nose as opposed to the... more

The location is spectacular and it's an adventure to get to the lighthouse. I was travelling with my 86 year old mother on a special trip to see shome places where our relatives had lived long ago. The views and watching the ferries go by is wonderful. However the rooms do not match the price charged thought the food is... more

Had an excellent stay at the lighthouse which is superbly located. Rooms were as expected and well looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Meals were very good given limited facilities although menu could become repetitive if you stay for more than a few days. more

We loved the setting and staff very friendly and welcoming but think that the hotel is overpriced. Expected a luxury room but decor very dated although clean. Bed two singles pushed together and extremely hard! Could do with a make over asap. Food was nice enough but nothing special. Breakfast good. Quality of accomodation is not reflected in the price.... more

this is the first time we have stayed at the Corsewall lighthouse hotel and we had a really good time. The rooms are comfortable and we had a view of the wild waves. The food was very tasty with good choices and well presented and the staff were very friendly and helpful. more

We spent one night in the stevenson suite. The scenery is simply amazing with the surrounding nature and sea. The suite was very big but not very nicely interior-decorated. The dinner was a real disaster eventhough we had being informed that it should be very tasty. They have received many awards for the dining cousine but in our case we... more

This is our third time staying here, which helps build up discount on the bill. The location, service and food are wonderful in my opinion. With the hotel being a converted lighthouse you would expect it to be away from the hustle and bustle, which is exaclty what the hotel offers. There are a few sights to see out and... more
